Editorial Review for St. Nicks Pub Restaurant and Bar – by Ashley Crary
In Short
Located across from the Beverly Connection in a mellow part of Third Street, this Irish bar delivers a straight-up pub experience. The dark-wood bar, stained-glass lamps and spacious booths offer a relaxed atmosphere for hanging out. There are 18 bottled beers from which to choose, and paper shamrocks and leprechauns splattered on the walls, along with a map of Ireland painted on a mirror, lend themselves to the kitschy, fun vibe. The grub to get is the fried cheese sticks.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasThe neighborhood bar attracts a post-college 20-something crowd. It's far enough off the Sunset Strip to be free of any velvet rope, but it's still L.A., so dress accordingly.

My classmate and her St. Nick (alumni) went to celebrate our straight "A" status in school. The jukebox makes for great entertainment...They said that Sunday nights are usually really relaxed, but the three day weekend allowed for a full house...The bartender made my first drink like it was juice, then the drinks after that were great (thanks to the alumi ordering for me) they treat you better when they know you...The atmosphere is cool, I like the dark pub feel and dim ligthing....The highlight for the night is when "BABY GOT BACK" BY SIR MIXX ALOT came on....I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe....We all clapped for the dancing (if that was dancing that went on), whatever it was made everyone feel good...I have to commend people who don't take everything so seriously and definately don't mind being silly...I love the place...It was just to crowded to get onion rings....That was my first time and I will go back but only with the alumni so I can get good drinks.....I had a good time, no drama at all....Bring 5 dollars and get 20 songs on the jukebox and just enjoy your company....

Just wanted to respond to the reviewer below, sorry that you had a bad experiece at Nick's, one of my fav spots. Are you sure it was the actual owner that waited on you as he is rarely there? Also the entire staff bartenders etc, except for like two guys is Mexican last weekend most of the crowd on the far side of the bar was Mexican. Hope you'll give it another chance.
