With Mt. Rainier as a backdrop, this six-day event at the Enumclaw Fairgrounds boasts all the requisite county fair elements, from livestock and preserves to concerts and
rides. Its real charm lies in the old-fashioned attractions, such as serial melodramas, written especially for the fair. Rodeos on Friday and Saturday nights draw bronco-lovin' crowds. Logging shows on Saturday and Sunday pack 'em in, too. The grassy fairgrounds offer welcome respite from the heat.
