Editorial Review for The Cheesecake Factory – by Allison Austin

In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.

My wife and I went to the Cheese cake factory for our wedding anniversary. She had wanted to go there for a long time. We made it out to Seattle from the Puyallup area early and made a resrvation. We then headed down to the Pike place market to look around. When we returned we were promptly seated and were attended to very well. We had drinks quickly and appetizers shortly after that. The food was excellent and prepared the way we asked for. The wait staff was very good at checking on us and getting anything that we asked for. Our table was on an upper level and I had a good view looking all around the restaurant. The place was bustling with activity and all the guests I saw looked to be enjoying themselves. Those who complain that the place doesn't have a childrens menu, should go to Denny's. I take my wife out once in a while to nice place to get away, we have four kids and like the time alone. If I wanted to hear someones little brat crying I would eat at home. I don't pay for a nice meal to hear someone elses kid screaming above my conversation. So cudos to the Cheesecake factory, I didn't have to hear one snivel or whine!

Pros: Great service, great food. Good location to pike place market

Cons: People who bring their kids and think I want to listen to them cry! Why???

Two people and we waited for 30 minutes to be seated. Service was slow and not good. Our waiter was annoyed having to get condiments. Servings were large. Food was ok. Dessert was good. Bill was incorrect and took some time sorting out. All in all below average

Pros: Serving size?

Cons: Parking
