great atmosphere. This was a great place to have a few drinks before the concert. Good sandwiches, drinks and great Bartender...she was very friendly.

The perfect pre-show spot for fashion-forward concertgoers.. The Scene
A sweeping elliptical bar--trimmed with slick, green leather--dominates the main floor, while the subterranean level has plenty of tables and chairs for those who don't feel like standing in bar traffic. The green walls are adorned with a rotating selection of edgy photographs by local talents, and the frosted-glass wall that divides the Green Room from the Showbox is etched with the names of bands that have played the historic venue.

The Draw
The Showbox was already one of Seattle's best venues, and the addition of the Green Room further secured that status. While the club already had a couple of bars inside, this more intimate--and swanky--joint attracts crowds even without help from the scheduled bands.

Worst Service Ever. The bartenders here are some of the nastiest, ego-centric, unskilled rockstar wannabees I have ever come across. If the Showbox even had good shows, I could understand the level of conceit that would come with working at a happening club. But the truth is, the bad shows far outnumber the good ones. Neil Diamond cover bands, hippie jam bands, corporate private parties and Ashlee Simpson--this is what the bartenders are on their high horse about. When you want to go and spend your money and not be made to feel like you have done something wrong, do not go here. Oh, and their security team are angry, fat ex-military losers intent on ruining your evening. This place is terrible. I wish it would close. Going to the Green Room will ruin your evening. Take your money somewhere else.

Don't Be Fooled!. This Place is nothing more than a tourist trap. This place lures you in with the feeling that you will be sitting within the confines of some hip, rock-n-roll hang out. Truth is this place is nothing more than a glorified Dennys. Some of the worst service I have ever encountered in my entire life was at this place. The food wasn't bad but when I asked for a condiment for the food, the answer was "Yea but its gonna be a while, the kitchen is upstairs" and getting the attention of the wait staff is nearly impossible. It was 99 degrees outside and I was starting to get light headed so I ordered water. Big mistake as the bartender acted as if I had inconvenienced her day. The drinks were lame, same Bud Light you can get anywhere and an $8 shot (yea, that pricey) came in nothing more that a cheap plastic cup. The only thing going for this place is the fact that it is connected to the Showbox. If it weren't for that, this place would be no better than the bar in the airport.

There are too many great places in and around this area of downtown to waist your time here. You can walk across the street and go to the Pike Pub Brewery and have their sampler of beer for $6. They also have reasonably priced food and the wait staff at the Pike Pub are friendly and cheerful.

gotta love the green. Good food, great environment, but sucky service. Best value for happy hour, food is good & simple at $2 each with drinks also being $2, lose the 'tude & it would be my favorite downtown bar.
