The Scene
While its John's Landing location might not be the first pick for travelers hoping to get a taste of Portland culture, the riverside setting of this luxury boutique hotel sets the stage for a relaxing getaway that's hard to find in downtown. The ultramodern lobby gives visitors a hint of the sophistication awaiting in the rooms. Specially commissioned artwork, vintage velvet sofas and a glowing fireplace make for a warm welcome.
The Details
Rooms are designed with ultimate style and comfort in mind, combining neutral tones with Asian flair. The luxury extends to the bathrooms, which feature marble tubs and sweet-smelling bath products. Most rooms offer balcony access, with majestic views of Mount Hood and the Willamette River. Downstairs, there's a full-service spa and fitness club. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-room dining is available from Rivers restaurant, a few steps away.

New to portland and found this hidden jem. The gal who gave me my facial said she had been there for 3 years, wish I remembered her name, but she was an absolute doll. Her facial massage practically put me to sleep. I will definitely be back.
Pros: Spa has valet parking from the hotel
Cons: None

Loved the Spa, down to the last detail! The ladies there made me feel like I was a queen, doing everything in their power to fulfill my every wish. EVERYTHING was included in the price of my treatments. I was surprised they have Guerlain skincare, which is so luxurious, it is hard to find anywhere. I have loved the Super Aqua Serum for the body and was able to have some shipped to my home for no additional charge! I started out in the gym, went to the spa and relaxed in the jacuzzi, steam-room, and sauna. I had a body polish, (AMAZING) it was on a wet table with multiple shower heads running over me the whole time... aaah and then the massage and facial. Dana Ray and Natalie gave me the best treatments, I would have to say, I've ever had. Both were so knowledgeable and sweet. The facial came with facial waxing and brow and lash tinting (I'd never had tinting before but now I am addicted: I no longer have to wear mascara)....... I could go on and on, but I just have to say the chop chop thing on my feet was soooooo incredible! Thanks ladies, I feel incredible! Portland is definitely in my top 5! Ciao!
Pros: All inclusive spa
Cons: I don't live there :(
