The Experience – Captain Larry Kezner's boat, the Fremont Avenue, cruises the lake 12 times every Sunday, giving passengers a little time on the water along with a little history. Sneak a peek at the work of Northwest glass artist Dale Chihuly, see the now famous Sleepless in Seattle houseboat and get a close up view of the Kalakala, a streamlined Seattle ferry that shuttled passengers across the sound from 1935 to 1967. Kezner's mix of Seattle history along with off-beat humor provides an entertaining journey that comes to an end after 45 minutes--a length that feels just right.…
about the ice cream
by UCLARah
whoever heard of a chocolate root beer float? It's VANILLA ice cream!! when I asked the captain why he doesn't offer both vanilla and chocolate he said.." I'm the captain, it's my boat. I like chocolate, we only serve chocolate." Chocolate root beer floats taste awful... my opinion.
- Pros: sweets are a treat
- Cons: chocolate is not for a root beer float
