Editorial Review for Agua Verde Paddle Club – by Jeff Zeunert
The Experience
Whether paddling through the waterways of the arboretum or exploring Lake Union's houseboats, kayaking offers an affordable way to see the city from an unusual vantage point. Try an afternoon paddle to Madison Park and enjoy a picnic on the beach. Paddle across Lake Washington for a gander at the lifestyles of Seattle's rich and famous--including a view of Bill Gates' home. Paddlers will need two hours for most destinations, and four or more hours for the farthest paddles (including Golden Gardens Park or Hiram Chittenden locks).
Facts
Agua Verde offers single, double and triple kayaks rented on a first come, first served basis. If you're planning a paddle on a sunny Saturday, you may be disappointed; weekends book fast.
