The Scene
At first glance, you'll see a typical Aveda shop--it smells great, staff is smiling, products abound and everyone looks terrific. Hair and nail appointments occur in a sunny salon, while those awaiting spa treatments are guided, herbal tea in hand, to a serene, dark, private waiting area. Private service rooms are calm and sophisticated, with terra-cotta walls, soft lighting, tile floors and large mirrors.
The Services
Aromatherapy is an important part of the experience--you'll be asked to choose your favorite scents as additives to massage oils and steam baths, while other products incorporate whatever sweet-smelling plant is deemed appropriate. The signature facial includes an extensive gentle massage that leaves skin absolutely glowing. Waxing is followed with thorough exfoliation for long-lasting results, and every haircut starts off with a glorious scalp massage that both stimulates and relaxes.
The Details
Massage, wet treatments, facials, hair removal, sunless tanning. Manicure/pedicure, full service salon.

Insider Tips
When to GoEmail response is prompt for online requests, and occasional same-day appointments are available. After-work scheduling is possible (not Fridays).
The ExtrasHydroTherm massages occur on warm, water-filled cushions. Rain massage incorporates extensive hydrotherapy and exfoliation, and is the spa's only wet treatment.
Know Before You GoNext door is the Royal Palm, a neighborhood classic known for decent Thai food and a sweet setting.

I have found my favorite weekend spot in Seattle!! A friend refered me to caruh. I called to make an appt for a cut/facial and wax. The girl that answered the phone was pleasant and very helpful with all of my questions(I am super picky and have been to alot of salons because of this- never had been able to find the right fit-until now) I scheduled for a haircut a 1 hr facial and a brow wax. Erica cut my hair- she was probably the sweetest person I have ever met and payed close attention to what i wanted- I love my new cut. Yaicha was my facialist- wow was she great! She took along time talking about my skin what I was using at home and the facial was amazing. The products smelt so great, and I got alot of massage and everything was personalized for me. I have been using some of the products she reccomended for only a week and my skin feels amazing! I was also so happy with my brow shape. The best part was the hair cut was only $35 and the facial was only$80. If you are looking for a super chill place with friendly and personable staff I highly reccomend Caruh- i am referring everyone I know!
