The best of quality and service
by musikmakers at Citysearch
Hobin and his entire crew are very customer focused. The food is always top-notch and the staff will make you feel like you are at home.
The sushi chefs are great at making that 'special' roll or serving up combinations that are off the menu.
Must try:
Bonito Tuna (when in season); Crunchy roll, Hana roll, and the Rainbow roll. Delish
- Pros: top quality fish; imaginative, tasty rolls
- Cons: small space - easily filled
Hana Best Sushi, Sashimi and Service!
by Love Hana at Citysearch
Hana's is an excellent example of what a great restaurant should be! It has the hightest quality of sashimi, sushi and creative, delicious rolls. The bento boxes are awesome for those who want a mix. The service here is extraordinary, you feel like you are visiting family. My friends and I have been coming to Hana's since it opened and it has been consistently delicious, always an awesome dining experience. Hobin, Karen, Kozo, Monica and crew continue to deliver the finest sushi in town while delighting customers! Any reviews that give anything less than 5 stars are off base & I challenge anyone to visit Hana's and see for yourself. Hana's is #1 all around.
- Pros: Freshest and Finest Sushi, Sashimi, Rolls. Hobin's dressing!
- Cons: Not one thing!

Profound disappointment

August, 2007 . . . something's changed?
We've been going to Hana for years, and it's been one of our consistently good places.
In the last week, we went for the first time in a couple months and noticed changes. Changes in menu, food prep, staff, etc. Unfortunately, these are not good changes.
the sushi is still okay.
However, bento boxes (portion size, general quality, etc.) have suffered. Come on, why give such a meager bowl of miso soup??? It's cheap, for heaven's sake! Chicken teriyaki used to be very good, now it was mediocre (no longer simple grilled, now maybe breaded and fried somehow???? no grill marks, lame flavor, poor consistency). Also, why make the portions so skimpy ? (quality was sub-par, so not sure I would have eaten it all anyway).
So very sorry to have had such a lousy meal from a place we previously enjoyed so much.
- Pros: Still a decent setting, basic sushi still okay
- Cons: Bento boxes poor, teriyaki poor, meager portions
Best combination of quality, variety and value!

I have been through countless sushi places all over the eastside and Seattle and I have to say I keep going back to Hana and being thoroughly impressed. Are there places that you can pay $20 for some fancy roll in Seattle that is the "trendy" place to be? Sure you can! I would rather get authentic Japanese food and amazing sushi for a very reasonable price. The staff are always incredibly attentive and the fact that they make an effort to learn your likes/dislikes makes this the most personable, comfortable and enjoyable place around. Just go, you wont be sorry.
- Pros: I can't say enough about everyone and everything
- Cons: Closed on Sundays :(
