Editorial Review for Celtic Bayou – by Citysearch Editors

The Scene
This cozy Irish-style pub overflows with a crowd of baby boomers who clap along to the fast beats and sing along to the sad, slow ballads. Work chums meet for a round of darts in the wee hours and a tipsy patron might be inspired to do a jig in the narrow space between tables, but most everyone else hunkers down for an evening of music and conversation.

The Draw
It's all about the brews here. Sixteen microbeers on tap, including imports, local favorites and American standards--it's worth while. If you can't decide, order a sampler tray and try a bit of them all. Spicy chicken wings, decent burgers or fish-and-chips taste best with a pint of cold brew. The menu branches out to include Irish pub fare, such as bangers and mash, and, as a nod to its namesake, Cajun-spiced catfish.

The place is Amazing, Very cool, the beer selection is outstanding, and the food was great. I love the place, I could not convince my wife to go home. I travel every where and I didn't see something like that...Cajun Food/Irish Pub....Very good, unique spot. I got banger and Mush, my wife got Jambalaya, oh boy, fantastic food between the best I ever had….Well except my mom’s of course.

The Celtic Bayou used to be my favorite haunt in Redmond. Unfortunately, nearly everything I enjoyed about this spot has gone away in recent years. What used to be a brew-pub with decent food, great beer, great service and atmosphere to spare has turned into a character-less bar & grill with a decent beer selection, so-so (overpriced, over-seasoned, under-sized) food, and absolutely terrible service. The patrons of the Celtic Bayou have to share some of the blame - there are too many that seem far too willing to overpay for so-so food and poor service; but it takes a special lack of management ability to ruin such a gem of an establishment.

Pros: good beer

Cons: poor service, lack of parking, overpriced food, small portions
