Mediocre version of Taco del Mar

by jeleda913 at Citysearch

The basic concept is the same as Taco del Mar: You choose your ingredients & watch them build the burrito (or whatever). I got a steak burrito & found it to be somewhat dry & lacking flavor (I added tabasco to give it some moisture & flavor). Overall, I prefer Taco del Mar. It's slightly less expensive & has MUCH more flavor to the burritos. Plus, at Taco del Mar you can choose what type of tortilla you want - flour, spinach or tomato. It also has a wider selection of ingredients to add, in my experience.

  • Pros: Fast, inexpensive
  • Cons: Lack of ingredient selection, lack of seasoning

Awesome

My husband I found Qdoba in Federal Way by accident when I went looking for a Taco Del Mar. I have become the unofficial spokesperson ever since. I love their Fahijta Clasica Burrito (sp?) Wow... The burritos are huge!! The rice has great flavor and the meat is seasoned to perfection. The chicken quesadillas are good too. I've also tried the naked burrios and the chicken salad. Loved them all. This is a great place for Atkins folks.... Just get the taco salad naked and you are good to go.

  • Pros: Amount of food, Clean restaurant, Great Food

Great value

You get to watch them make your burrito, similar in concept to subway. Pick your meat, (chicken, steak, beef, or vege) your fillings, your salsa and you are done. Simple concept, fresh food and great prices. The burrito's are big so my wife and I split one with chips and guacamole for $8. They also have salads and tacos. Great value, fresh food. The burritos are a lot less sloppy than taco del mar and seem fresher. A good addition to the quick dining scene in Seattle

  • Pros: great value, fresh ingredients
