Stellar Pizza & Ale is an independent, family owned full-service restaurant located in the Georgetown neighborhood in South Seattle. Editorial Review for Stellar Pizza , Ale & Cocktails – by Citysearch Editors

The Scene
Tucked in Seattle's south end, the industrial Georgetown neighborhood offers a smattering of hip spots, including this pizza hangout filled with cool cultural artifacts. A giant letter S, a red-neon remnant from an Esso sign, dominates the dining room; several '80s pinball machines and old beer signs start conversations in the pool-table room. Service is slow and a little absentminded but friendly nonetheless.

The Food
Pasta dishes make a cameo, but hand-tossed pizzas are the main attraction. Thick, chewy crusts, gobs of toppings and a molten mountain of mozzarella are hallmarks here. For those who shy from nouveau pizza concepts, the Beanie offers piles of pepperoni and cheese. And for vegetarians, the Roma-and-feta Eddy the Greek and garlic-and-spinach Courky's Veggie are your best bets. The Flora Primo is a must-try, crackling with spicy Italian sausage and artichoke hearts.

Me I and my friends were made wait 45 minutes for a salad, and 1.5 hrs for a pizza. The pizza never came because we left, not without first hear from a disrespectful manager that the pizza there takes that long (but not for other tables of course). They kept serving other patrons way before us. In 1 1/2 hrs the wait staff stopped by our table only once to check on drinks. After complaining about the wait, they indicated that we needed to wait like everybody else (but everybody else had already food on their tables). The manager was worse than the wait staff. Well, I guess that's why they work at Stellar. The food might be good but too bad the owners don't keep an eye on the staff.

Pros: pizza

Cons: staff

I'll make this brief!! The arrogance, the ignorance and rude service from the wait staff is what will cost them dearly in the long run. If their oven size is limited, then don't seat people and make them wait 1.5 hrs for a pizza. Also, don't serve food to tables that were seated 15-20 later than the one that has already been waiting over an hour for their food. Don't lie and obnoxiously ridicule customers. We all know how long it takes to make a pizza. And please teach your wait staff the magical word "I AM SORRY." No doubt your pizza is good, but your service is horrible. Goodbye Stellars, hello Tutta Bella/All Purpose Pizza

Pros: Good Pizza

Cons: Horrible service, seems Capital Hill service (I am so cool) has moved down here
