I felt really lucky to get a last minute appointment at Gene Juarez in Redmond for a simple eye brow wax. Now I wish that I had waited and gone somewhere else. I showed up for my appointment and waited 25 minutes. I get that things run late, but 25 minutes?! When I mentioned this to the person upon checking out, I was a little surprised that the only response was to ask if the previous appointment had run late or I hadn't checked in properly.
I honestly wouldn't have minded waiting if my eyebrows had turned out okay. But not only are they completely uneven, the woman who did them didn't even go over them with tweezers. She else spent less than 5 minutes. Very disappointed in the whole experience.
Don't do it!. I just got the worst highlight and haircut ever. The "stylists" never took the time to listen to my needs. The lady who highlighted my hair never faced me towards the mirror so I could see what she was doing. Big mistake - my hair ended up getting fried. Then, the gal who cut my hair was so unfriendly and hardly spoke 2 words to me the entire time. She never took the time to listen to my needs, and the result is my haircut looks exactly the same as it did when I walked through the door, split ends and all. She cut my hair so fast that I asked her if she was finished, just kind of joking around, and sure enough, she was. She never gave me a mirror to check the back of my hair. I had a really bad feeling the entire time which took the relaxation out of the experience. Oh, and they were 20 minutes late taking me back and never apologized or acknowledged it. Do not get your hair done at this place!!!!

WORST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! DO NOT GO!!!!!. I have been getting massages for years and always communicate well with the massage thearpist letting them know what I like and don't like to get the most out of the massage. Well, I booked a Deep Tissue 80 minute massage with Angie. I had been traveling and was very tight in my back. I encouraged her to use more pressure and then directly asked but nothing change. I left feeling as tight as I did coming in. She didn't give me any advice on what I could do like I requested and did nothing to help. I waited a couple days hoping I would see the effects but to no avail and had to book another massage elsewhere. I had heard so much about Gene Juarez and they are close to my work so thought that it would be a perfect fit. The girls at the front desk were rude and it was noisey. I NEVER WILL GO BACK TO GENE JUAREZ AND DEFINATELY DO NOT ENCOURAGE OTHER PEOPLE TO. It was a waste of money and time. Never in my life have I been so dissatisfied with a massage, not enjoying it during the massage when I asked her to change to try to help and she didn't, and then having the same problem I had walking in with a stiff back. I attempted to contact managers but have heard nothing back. DO NOT GO HERE
RUDE RUDE RUDE. I went to this spa today for a facial, with two girlfriends for a fun spa day. My two friends were promptly picked up on time for their facial/massage and I was left sitting in the waiting area for 30 minutes until I finally flagged down a someone to find a manager. The manager was non-apologetic, RUDE and arrogant. Apparently there was a customer that required extra treatment during her facial and so unfortunately, I had to wait. And, at Gene Juarez it shouldn't be a big deal to wait a half hour with your feet in cold water as you see people getting the same $100 service as you happily going away to their treatment. I recommend Gene Juarez actually hire someone over 20 to manage their salon and perhaps teach them a thing or two about customer service.
Hope gave me "hope" for my eyebrows!. Hope at RTC Gene Juarez is amazing at eyebrow shaping. I first went to her before my high school graduation, when my eyebrows were a mess. She has done them four times a year ever since. The waxing and plucking takes less than 15 minutes and you can stay in the spa area as long as you want while the redness goes down. The only complaint I have about the facility is that the room where you get your brows done has very bright lights, so when your eyes water from the waxing it can get uncomfortable. Hope lowers the lights as much as she can, though she needs them on to do her work. If you have never trusted anyone with your eyebrows before, or have had a bad experience in the past, Hope will change all of that!
Worst customer service!. After attempting to contact the Bridal Consultant a total of 4 times in 3 weeks, I got a voicemail from her after I called the receptionist to complain. After she left a voicemail, I called her 2 more times and left messages. She never called back. I ended up making all of my makeup and hair appointments for myself and my bridesmaids at Sorella Salon. They had much better customer service! I've been a customer of Gene Juarez for years and I will never go back because of the lack of service I received. And gathering from a review on Citysearch and tons more on Yelp, I know that I'm not the only one. It's too bad that Gene Juarez is losing so many customers!

The high-energy salon is slightly frenzied with hip stylists attending to the needs of all types of women. However, there's a quick escape: the tranquil, feng shui-adapted waiting room. There, after changing into spa clothes and a luxurious robe, spa-goers are treated to a treatment in one of the peaceful rooms, including facials, body-wraps, manicures and more. Afterward, guests can have their makeup touched up at the mineral makeup counter.
Horrible Service, snooty attitude high prices.
Gene Juarez does great work with hair. But their administrative staff has messed up appointments with their outsourced appointment desk. for my wedding they booked the hair appointment AFTER the makeup! Then they messed up the time so I had to come in at 8:30AM when my wedding wasn't until 2PM!! I was irate.
Another occasion this jerk put relaxer on my face and asked "how do you like that". I gave no tip and never came back. My hair turns out great when I went there, but the hassle and stress just wasnt worth it.
