Editorial Review for Teatro Zinzanni Seattle – by Citysearch Editors
The Scene
Set inside a vintage 1920s tent and performed Las Vegas-style--with cabaret singing, small tables and an impressive mini-orchestra onstage--this zany production is filled with slapstick characters who tease audience membrs and slowly transform them into dinner. Don't worry: It's more "The Greatest Show on Earth" than "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover." Acrobats, body jugglers and trapeze artists astound with feats of derring-do, while graduates of clown college do their funny-scary thing.
The Food
The show also features a multicourse meal, which may include flying pies. In fact, the entire Teatro ZinZanni experience is something like a pie in the face: silly, slapstick, lightweight fun that urges us to take life just a bit less seriously. The menu, designed by celeb chef Tom Douglas, is a more mature, five-course feast that changes seasonally and focuses on elegant presentations of local ingredients.

My husband and I went to Teatro with a group of friends at the end of March 2008 and we had a great time!!! The tent, the service, the food and the show were all amazing! The group sales lady - Kristine was really helpful. See you at the new show this summer!

This used to be a go-to event, not anymore! Show was very "high-school" and the food was horrible. I last went to Zinzani 4 years ago and it was excellent. Now, it's on par with a medieval dinner show in the south. The only thing that was missing was a couple of jousters and some lame Excalibur act. Boo Zinzani, and BOOOOO Tom Douglas for putting your name on that horrible food. Would not recommend until they get back to basics.
Pros: Nothing, a complete waste of time. Many left early
Cons: Everything! AVOID!!!
