Editorial Review for DV8 Nightclub – by KJ Sobecki
The Scene
DV8 blends quasi-industrial architecture with techno, alternative and disco into a dance club that appeals to even the most eccentric patrons. Replete with glittering disco ball, this cavernous club includes two bars, a spacious two-tiered dance floor, and an array of music from '80s dance on Wednesdays to '90s alternative on Friday. Shagadelic Saturday could only mean disco.
The Booze
Though the draft selection is limited, DV8 boasts 38 foreign and domestic bottled brews, including Bass, Guinness, Sierra Nevada, Budweiser and Michelob. For those preferring spirits, the club offers premium gin and vodka (Tanqueray, Absolut, Stoli, Smirnoff), whisky (JB, JD, C&C and Crown Royal), and a variety of tequilas, rum and schnapps.
While You're There
Take a break from the crowd to bask under the lights and relax on one of the '70s-style, rouge-colored velour chairs overlooking the action.

Insider Tips
Cover ChargeWith the exception of Saturdays (when it's $5), cover is $4. On Thursday there's no cover for those over 21.
Coat RackIf you don't want to overheat, check your coat at the door. DV8 claims to be one of only two venues in town to offer this service.

Anyone living in Tucson long will soon discover the lack of big city nightclubs. While there still exists something of a dance/club night life here, there are equally those that are terrible. DV8 is one of the latter. From personal experience (a number of times), the establishment will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth wondering what in the world led you there. Their advertised specials are sometimes missing the fine print and, with the exceptions of a few, the wait staff and doormen are less than hospitable. Some of the biggest party nights you might even hear crickets chirping at DV8 due to the lack of people. If you are looking for good music and a venue with more people than you'd find in a urinal, don't go to DV8!

First off.. theres no cover charge. They have 2 inside bars as well as a few patio bars so theres never TOO LONG of a wait. Their servers are quick, friendly, and always get the order right! Great place to chill or party! Would'nt reccomend playing pool...
