Editorial Review for Alps Boulder Canyon Inn – by Orya C. Hyde-Keller
The Scene
Nestled in Boulder Canyon, this rustic accommodation houses travelers from all over the world, as well as locals trying to get away from it all without going too far away. It feels like a posh ski resort--game-head trophies decorate the walls in the downstairs lobby, while a massive fireplace keeps visitors toasty.
The Details
The rooms, simply and elegantly decorated, have a traditional bed-and-breakfast feel. Each one is decorated differently, and you can choose from a variety of options, including one with an in-room double whirlpool. While munching on a continental breakfast in the morning, you'll also be treated to delicious pancakes or waffles made by innkeepers Jeannine and John Vanderhart. Make sure you tell them when they should expect you downstairs.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasThe two resident dogs are friendly and furry and never allowed in the guest rooms--just in case you might have allergies.
Know Before You GoRequest a room facing away from the road. Boulder Canyon can get a lot of noisy traffic, even in the evenings.
User Reviews for Alps Boulder Canyon Inn

This place couldn't be more picturesque. The inn itself is completely charming, and the setting--halfway up Boulder Canyon--is beautiful. I found it to be the ideal place to stay, because you feel like you're in the mountains, but you're just 10 minutes from Boulder. Definitely a good place to splurge for your anniversary or something. It is right next to a fairly busy road, so I would think rooms on the back side of the building would cut down on the road noise.
