I had no quarrel with either the food, service and overall ambiance of the place. My only problem was the fact that there's no windows and a view to the outside. I felt a bit claustrophobic in there, in spite of the colorful and cheerful atmosphere. But for the seasoned mexican food lover that I am, I was actually quite impressed. I'm cautious about putting any restaurant in a bad light, and usually would give it another chance, especially when the reviews are outstanding. This place has been as good as a popular place for a long time according to many locals.

Just this past Sunday, we had a 50th wedding anniversary party for our grandparents at the Mexican Affair Restaurant. KUDOS to Ruth Lopez and her team. It was such a fantastic event. The food was excellent. We particularly LOVED the shredded chicken and beef tacos and the cheese enchiladas. I was worried about having the party there because of the reviews I saw on here but for a party of 40, which most restaurants can mess up, a Mexican Affair pulled it off without a hitch. There was a good ratio of servers and they all bent over backwards for anything any of the guests needed. So...great service!! They even let us bring in Mariachis and a cake (which they even cut and served for us). It was not expensive, $12 per person for a full buffet, NICE. The only room for improvement I saw was that the margaritas were a little on the sweet side (but I like 'em STRONG). Other than that minor detail I am giving them a full five stars!
