Wanting to get away from the development of Neptune - Ponte Vedra beach but don't feel like making the trip to St Aug Beach--go to Hannah Park--the beach is simply beautiful and expansive. There's also a little water park in the main picnic area and plenty of room for everyone. The sand dunes have eroded a lot in the last twenty years, but it's still a beautiful place. Word to the wise: if you're meeting a group at a particular shelter, ask the ranger when you pull up to the gate where to find your shelter. They're not really marked.
Pros: inexpensive, lots of parking, not too crowded
