Arguably the best hamburgers in town, thanks in large part to the use of Better Meat's (a local commercial butcher shop) fresh ground beef (the same product as used at the Kort Haus Tavern, a couple of miles south on Greenwood; also an excellent burger joint). Fat and juicy - could swear you're eating ground rib steak - due to the generous use of high-end trimmings in the ground beef. Fries are also top-notch. Service is generally good - if a bit disinterested - and the kitchen sometimes has loads of attitude, which can affect the quality of the food (over-cooking seems to be a common means of venting, turning this wonderful product into a shamefully dry hockey puck. As a precaution be sure to order your burger medium or medium-rare, though there's no assurance the kitchen will pay your request a whit of attention). The beer selection is excellent - and constantly changing - perhaps second in the region only to Duck Island. Darts and pool tables and plenty of TV's for entertainment. A truly butt-ugly building. Nearly windowless; it suggests a druggie hangout more than a great tavern and burger joint, but spacious and comfortable within. Plenty of parking (at the front and sides of the building).

Pros: Top-notch burgers and fries; excellent beer selection

Cons: Sometimes disinterested service and occasional kitchen 'tude.

The great thing about Pipers Creek is the beer. They have the best beer you can get in the country. Loads of local microbrews at very reasonable prices. Some of the beers they regularly carry are; Rogue, Baron Brewing - 3 taps!!!, Walking Man, Skagit River, Boundary Bay and many many more. It is good to see a place so dedicated to good beer. The food is fantastic. It is cheap and plentiful. Only down-side here is the smoke. It can get really bad. The staff is nice but they can be rude when it is busy.

Pros: Beer, Beer, Food

Cons: Smokey
