Solstice has great tasting coffee, and is a good alternative to Starbucks if you are looking to get an americano or a drip coffee. Their baked goods are lacking in taste, however... so just go for the coffee.

This hip cafe has a variety of seating options, my favorite (on a dry day) is their heated patio in the back. It can get a little loud if you're trying to study but is a great place if you want to meet people for coffee, wine (yes, wine), or some of their yummy food items (like homemade mac and cheese). Their coffee is actually not that great, but their excellent ambience and a variety of other beverage options make up for it.

they have live music sometimes, but there isn't really a menu, so hopefully you won't look like an idiot. Good place to study. Also nice latte art. music is kinda loud.
