Tips for Downtown Seattle Acupuncture & Massage

I went to Monica re: a tweaked hamstring & an issue w/ my foot that nothing else (except ibuprofen) seemed to work. As a newbie to acupuncture Monica walked me through the entire process, advised me on the value of both western & eastern medicines & in short, made me feel well informed. The hamstring cleared up after the first session & foot issue was cured within several. I would highly recommend Monica to anyone.

Monica is a great acupuncturist and I have no reservations recommending her. Her office is very professional and she explains her process every step of the way. If you are new to acupuncture, she has lots of experience and will be a wonderful introduction to Chinese medicine.

I have been to several acupuncturists and Monica is amazing at what she does. I saw her for fertility issues and complications with my pregnancies (I suffered 4 consecutive miscarriages). She was kind and compassionate and always answered my many questions and listened to my concerns. I firmly believe that Monica not only helped me getting pregnant but most importantly staying pregnant. My little miracle is now 2.5. I highly recommend Downtown Seattle Acupuncture!

Monica Legatt is the BEST!!!! I have received treatment from her for 13+ years for many symptoms related to Multiple Sclerosis! She has helped in many ways that MS Neurologists have been unable to. I recently stopped working downtown and moved up North. I still take an hour long bus ride to get treated by Monica! She is outstanding!! I really could write a short book about it, but won't today!

I can not recommend Monica enough. She has helped me with fertility issues which obviously has completely changed my life. Also TMJ and PMS. I have also sent several friends to her for a variety of reasons and all have been 100% satisfied. I have seen other acupuncturists in the past and Monica is different. If you want results, you should make an appointment.

Downtown Seattle Acupuncture is such. Downtown Seattle Acupuncture is such a wonderful, calming place to visit. I most highly recommend Monica Legatt. She is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable and informative. I was initially treated by her for a severe case of psoriasis. After a few treatments and herbal supplements, my skin quickly and quite beautifully cleared up!!! What a relief! The benefits of Monica's treatments extend much further than one issue, however (in my case it was my skin), acupuncture treatments have helped calm my nerves, have aided in more restful sleep at night, and just overall I feel better. I've seen various acupuncture professionals over the years (it can help with literally any health issue you might have!) and I find Monica to be quite stellar in her comprehensive, subtle and calming approach.

Not ideal. Similar to a few other posters, Monica left an acupuncture needle in at the end of my appt. This is not horrible per se but reflects a rushed attitude. On my appt, she came in, took the needles out (except for one), and left...making me wonder whether she was to come back and talk or expected me to dress and go to the front to schedule another appt. I found out it was the latter, and decided not to return. For some, she might be fine (as other posters also have favorable things to say). For an "alternative medicine" practitioner, she displays a very rushed and non-conversational style very common to more traditional medical practitioners.

Not as professional as hoped..... During my appointment, Monica was very rushed and she seemed impatient with answering my questions. Her office seemed over booked as she was running in and out my room attending to other patients. She also was so hurried that she left a needle in my arm at the end of the appointment. She was quick to blame saying it was because we were talking. I also had a question about insurance & copays. Please be aware that even though you have 100% coverage, she will charge a $15 copay for a consultation EVERY appointment (most places only bill a consultation on the first visit). When I questioned this, she was very defensive and said she had been charging her clients this way for 10 years. I called my insurance company and they said that it wasn't typical, however, not illegal if in fact she is giving a full consultation with each appointment. She is quite knowledgeable, but I wanted to share my experience and let you decide for yourself.
