Great neighborhood location and skin care. This neighborhood on 24th NW is becoming a one-stop shopping mecca for me. Sheila Howe at Aesthetica does one of the best facials around-my 60 year old skin is glowing with her gentle touch and her fabulous, simple and effective products. Parking is a breeze, and you can always nip over for some fresh fish at the Fresh Fish Co., a loaf of bread at Larsons, mail your stuff at the mailbox and get back home beautified and ready for your evening. And don't forget to stop into Jtique salon right next door to Sheila for your next fab haircut with Jessica--genius cuts!

Relaxing, Welcoming and Enjoyable!. I'm always careful about using quality products that won't harm my sensitive skin or harm the environment. At the same time, I'm a bit frugal; I consider just about any beauty treatment that I don't do myself as a splurge. I was hooked on the first visit with Sheila at Asthetica a few years ago, and I willingly travel 45 minutes every 6 weeks or so for my skincare sessions with Sheila. The atmosphere is relaxing & calm. As soon as I enter I feel like I'm going to be pampered (important for a mom of 4 and a public school teacher). I'm greeted with soft music, a comfortable waiting area, and the promise that I'm going to leave refreshed & feeling lively & beautiful! Thank you, Sheila!

Oh What a Beautiful Morning!. This is the best, most relaxing place to get a facial. I feel like the world is a better place after I leave. I got my mom one for Christmas and now she always wants to go back when she's in town. They use wonderful organic products and their new space is cozy and warm. The place is incredibly clean and comforting. I can also recommend the waxing services, my brows always look great after leaving and I get exactly what I was looking for. This is a great spot to spend time in Ballard and worth the trip if you're across town.
