Great Buffet. These guys have awesome food, prices and a really cool atmosphere. Make sure to empty your stomach before you hit up the buffet, it's delicious!
Not worth the money!. I just ate at the Rock in Federal Way with my bf last night. It was not worth it at all and wished we spent our $40 somewhere else. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was so dry, hardly any bbq sauce on it. Instead of the meat being juicy and soft, it was hard and seemed old. My bf ordered the philly burger. SO NOT WORTH TRYING! the burger didn't even fill the bread, the so-called caramelized onions weren't caramelized at all! it was just soggy and mushy. The bell peppers were soft and seemed over-cooked. And the cheese did not go with the burger at all! Food was nasty and a waste of money. Pizza is way over priced for its small size! The only thing yummy at the Rock is the shrimp scampi pasta. Seems like the cooks were lazy.
Best breadsticks in town, awesome pizza, tasty beer, great music.. If you love garlic cheese breadsticks, you need to visit The Rock. Beyond that, their beer is delicious, the pizzas are great, and the music is great fun.
Tasty Pizza, sit in the bar if there's room. I was skeptical--- the signage out front is goofy and it's in Lynnwood--- how good could it be? Th parking lot was always packed so I gave it a try. Sit in the bar if you can, it has better atmosphere and several tv's playing local sports. I've had the burgers before but the pizza is pretty tasty. The Founder's Pie is our favorite--- meaty and cheesy with ricotta. The Rock has won me over and when we don't want to wait we phone in a to go order.
Burnt pizza and slow service. My family and I went to the Federal Way Rock recently and watied 40 minutes for a table when there were several tables in the dining room not in use. When I asked the girl up front why we couldn't have one of the 5 open tables she responded by saying "we don't have enough servers on". WOW!! Once seated it took the server 10 minutes to come over to take our order, we were more than ready to order all of our food and drinks. Our beer and soft drinks took another 10 minutes to arrive and our pizza took a total of 45 mintes and one of them was completely burnt on one side. This was our 2nd attempt in the last couple of months and the first was no better. We will never go back and will tell all of our friends to avoid!!!
Best Pizza. The Rock is a fun place to go. Has a great Bar and the Pizza is great. We are new to the area and this has become one of our hangouts. The prices are very reasonable and the service is always good. There are a variety of pizza's as well as other items on their menu. We always go for the pizza! This place is always busy on Friday and Saturday so be prepared for a wait
Avoid when busy for great pizza, the rest of the food is deplorable and glacial service. We were a party of eight and were sat at two very tiny booths in the very back. Cramped is an overstatement. They said "We never use these tables, so here go" We requested a set of table together. This place is known for good pizza's I'll give it that. Having to wait over an hour and half for it is too much. Having to wait this long makes anything taste good. I ordered a calzone and got a plate of mushy bread that was covered in marina sauce. It had obvious sat under the heat lamp for a long time. My friend who will eat most anything, (think Mikey) even said that it was bad. I had ordered one with Alfredo sauce. When the server came back, she blamed it on the menu. It took another half hour to get another one. This one had no sauce on it. The server then berated me as the presence of sauce. We only saw our server three times, once at the order and then when she brought the food. No refills on the unlimited drinks. We were also not told that one of pizza had to be remade, until we inquired about it, and the ensuing delay. Getting a great pizza should not take three hours to enjoy, with minimal service
Editorial Review. Microbrews and wood-fired pizza served with a sassy attitude; also on the menu are pasta, dinner salads and bar-snack appetizers.
"The Rock" rocks on. Choose one of their specialty pizzas or create your own with a list of 37 topping selections - Italian sausage in your choice of sweet or hot. The wood fired brick ovens yield a delicious crisp crust. Menu is well rounded out with salad, flame broiled burgers (HALF POUND & petite size), veggie wraps and other entree selections. Desserts and Take-out also offered. Our server Daniel was excellent. I already want to go back. :-)
The Rock 'Rocks'!. Outstanding homemade microbrews on tap, awesome pizza baked in an open fire brick oven, and a classic rock music setting create a delicious and fun environment to consume America's favorite food. The prices are a great value. Once you've visited, you'll keep going back.
