Impeccable details. We’ve recently got three men’s dress shirts and we’re ecstatic about them. First the materials were first class using two ply 180 thread counts, which had almost silk like texture, but not shiny with a fabulous feels to touch. One of the details, which shocked was that when Misook was measuring, she measured both side of the wrist for the French cuff, which we didn’t think much of at the time, but those details were necessity to make the shirts so impeccable. What wound up happening was that she made a room for the watch on the left sleeves, so the wrist areas were nice and snug, but wasn’t tight to the wrist where as the right sleeves were snug to the wrist. The prices of shirts were less than the Nordstrom custom shirts with much better details (amazing monograms). We’re so happy with the results, that we’ll be placing a new order soon.!
ONLY FOR RICH PEOPLE.
They quoted me $250 for altering my wedding dress and when I went to pick up the dress, they hit me with a $400 bill!! I only paid $400 for the dress.
The alterations were good, but for the dishonest quote, I will never return!
I Would Not Go Here Again.
This place is way too expensive for what they do. They charge $48/hour and will not let you know that until you show up to pay and have a bill the size of Texas.
They are hard to communicate with as well; nice enough, but set on charging too much money for what they offer. I would like to use them all the time, but they charge too much money.
Magical tailors!. This place is a gem for a people who would like to salvage vintage clothing. I took my mom's dress, size 10 to be reduced to size 2, and they perfected it to my figure. What makes the task hard was that I?m much taller than my mom and they had to extend the sleeve length without showing the alteration. They were very knowledgeable about the fabric and they were experts in how the dress should look. When it was the time for the end result?..WOW, it looked as it has been tailored for me originally. Fabulous work!
Best tailor. I took my mother's dress size 10 to shrink to size 2 to fit me and Misook perfected it with her expertise. She is courteous and professional. This was an amazing task; the major problem was my mother is shorter than me, so she had to extend the sleeve length to fit me without showing that the dress was altered. She is like a magician! Love it and will be back with more and more.
disorganized and expensive.
I really wish I could this is a great place: I WANT to like it. But unfortunately, I can't in good conscience recommend Superb Custom Tailors. It is anything but superb.
First, they're not organized. On two occasions, I have had them lose or misplace my clothes, to find them weeks later. Second, they're frightfully expensive for what you get. A simple, straight rehemming of pants is at least $18. That's for one machine-sewn hem. To alter pants costs $75+! Once, when I had misgivings about a very expensive suit alteration, I called the next day to say, don't do it. They "forgot" and did it anyway, insisting on full payment. This is not cool. They need to provide much better service and better quality for the money they charge.
Best tailor in town.... My wife and I have been taking our alterations to Misook for years. Great work, service and reasonable fees. They can be busy on weekends but I've found no problem if I can work it into my day. New location - moved to 323 W Galer.
Best tailors in Washington state. I had my suit custom tailored by Misook and got lots of compliments. One of the compliments I got was at the Bellevue Nordstrom where I was shopping for a dress shirt and a salesman asked me if I was wearing a Hickey-Freeman suit (this is the top of the line in men's suit). The salesman commented that the suit looked impeccable. Both Misook & Haeyang do superb job on every alteration item I have taken there. If you want the quality, take your alteration jobs to Superb Custom tailors. Their turnaround time may be longer than you would like but it's worth the wait and price.
Brides beware!. For my wedding gown alteration, I was made to stand 25 minutes in the middle of the store while the owner waited on 12yo girl there with her mother. When it was my turn, instead of the thorough fitting she gave to the girl, she rushed through mine, simultaneously ringing up the girl's mother. My fitting was under three minutes, and was accomanied by numerous negative comments. I felt uncomfortable, the dress shop recommended another tailor (much kinder, more professional). The worst part? When I got the dress back from Superb to take to the new tailor, the Superb owner had the gall to charge me a $20 fitting fee. If any "fitting" had taken place, that would have been fine. But the only fitting that day was for the little girl ahead of me. The owner should be ashamed. I will never be back.
Quality work, done quickly!. Top notch -- they are a bit pricey, but you are paying for value, and for alterations to be done on time (or even early!) They were extremely patient in working with me to have my dress fit just right, and were creative in determining just the way to do so.
