don't consider this place!

After receiving a "living social" certif. from my daughter, I attempted to make appt. RUDE receptionist Kristin...no where on cert. does it state the PURCHASER must USE the certif. Huge fiasco...made me feel like I was trying to make appt. with a STOLEN certif. Would NEVER recommend this salon after being dealt with in this manner. Called and got refund from LIVING SOCIAL...who said there is absolutely no problem with this certificate!
Totally uneccessary, unprofessional behavior. I would not ever step into this place!!!!!!!
Not for My Hair

I went to Zerene for a cut and color and I felt more confident with my look walking in than when I walked out. To be fair, the color (although quite drastic at first) faded to a really nice hue - hence the two stars - I really like the color. The cut, however, was miserable. I don't think the stylist had any idea what to do with my short hair. It didn't seem like short cuts were the salon's forte, but if that's the case, I wish I would have known beforehand. I don't know a lot about hair, but I know that it was one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. If you have short hair, or anything besides a "pretty-girl" hairstyle, I would recommend going elsewhere. I've since found a salon that inspired me with much more confidence...and, unlike the stylist at Zerene, didn't spend my scheduled appointment time trying to sell me product.
On the plus side, this looked like a nice place to have a manicure/pedicure (I had neither, it just looked like a good place for it), they offered a cup of tea, the staff was friendly enough when they weren't pushing product, and the pricing seemed average.
So, if your hairstyle is straightforward or bland, and at least shoulder-length and you'd like to keep it that way - you might enjoy a cut at Zerene. I won't be returning.
- Pros: okay color
- Cons: bad haircut, pushy sales

Loved Zerene Salon the moment I walked in. Very warm and inviting, a beautiful space. I am very picky about my hair and have had such a hard time finding the right cut and style. Michelle at Zerene was confident that she could help and she did. I love my new hair cut and would reccommend her to anyone that is looking for a change. You will love Michelle and this salon!!
