Great vegetarian options

It surprises me that many Vietnamese restaurants do not offer many vegetarian options. Luckily, that is the case at Mai Thao. The restaurant has a whole page of their menu dedicated to vegetarian fare, and the best part is that it actually tastes delicious. My brother is the biggest meat lover I know and he gave rave reviews to their cubic steak dish. It's quite possible that the service was lousy, but I've grown accustomed to terrible service at Vietnamese restaurants, so I tend to just block the customer service aspects from my head when dining at such locales. All I recall from my experience is that the food was divine.

Tasty food, parking provided, that's about it,

Took a family of 6 there for Sunday morning lunch. We were seated promptly, servers were nice, but very poorly trained and/or supervised. We ordered shakes first and had to ask for them twice. We ordered 4 appetizers, 6 entrees, and 4 drinks (in addition to the two shakes at the beginning). First to come out was 2 of the 4 apps, then one entree, then another appetizer, the shakes, drinks the remaining entrees and water. Staff tried to help with what we asked for, but we had to ask for everything. I know decent service is not always offered at VNMese restaurants in Chinatown, but I think some basics should be adhered to. Drinks first, appetizers and then food. Good prices and good food.

- Cons: Service was not offered, not enough high chairs for a family restaurant
