Great hair cut. I just moved from D.C and was recommended to check Valentine. It was worth! This is a hairstylist gem in the Phinney neighborhood. Valentine is the man, who has afforded the opportunity to remain traditional, yet also progressively contemporary as fashion. He seeks to accommodate the modern male hairstyle trend by employing traditional and modern hair styling. Valentine is the “barber surgeon” that you make you look and feel good. Thumbs up…

Artisan and Humanitarian. In all my years of getting a haircut, I have received some very poor haircuts, some fairly good haircurs, and some high quality cuts. But never have I sat in the chair and felt so confident in the quality of haircut and beard trim as I get every time I place myself in Valentine;'s expert hands.

He is an artisan, a craftsman. He takes great pride and care in his work, and will not let you out of the chair until your haircut looks its best.

If that were not enough, it is commendable what Valentine does for his community, his numerous hours of free haircuts he gives to those who are struggling, and his commitment to teaching, mentoring and helping others reach their highest potential.

I encourage all to make an appointment and let Valentine do his magic. Your hair will look better than you have ever thought possible.

best men's haircuts. If you're the kind of guy where the haircut DOES matter and can't get away with formula cuts that can be dished out by whoever, wherever, this is the place to go.

Valentine knows his work. He listens, he'll offer opinions but it's your call, he is without pretense, he puts as much time into it as the task requires, he's relentless in his ability to ensure that each and every employee is maintaining his own very high standards. This place is efficient, well run, tidy, comfortable and delivers everything at least as well if not better than salons that charge 3 or 4 times what he charges! Go!

They got it.... Just moved to the neighborhood and I have always been looking in when passing by, you know nice shinny place. Today I went in for my appointment, and I will say at first I thought that it was going to be all stars and lights, you know those places. Great decor, beautiful women, french press coffee brought to my chair with a cup and saucer, are they for real?

Now lets get down to the business... The consultation began with many questions of what I like, what I do not like about my hair, how much time do i have in the mornings and helpful suggestions as well.

The cut was... Impressive to my surprise. This was the first time in a while that I got a cut that I wanted and not the stylist choice, or mistake. Good scalp massage and the how to's of styling a double plus for me. I made appointment for a haircut, shave and a manicure for next time... And I really look forward to that day. Straight A's from me and I will recommended it.

Outstanding experience. A great cut, with coffee, with beard trim, with shampoo and style for $35. In a day and age where everything is substandard, finally someone that actually CARES about giving the best cut, service, at a good price.

I highly recommend this place. Valentine himself did mine and I will be back.

A Wonderful Father's Day!. This was a gift from my daughter-in-law & was unique & wonderful. I received my 1st shave & it was quite an experience. The haircut was the best I've ever received. I highly recommend!

Creative Kindness. I met Valentine through a friend a few years ago. Lately his name had come up in a few conversations I have had. I am the single parent of a teenaged son who has wanted to explore a barber's license. One school suggested he take a look at Valentine's. I filed that in the back of my mind on an ever growing to-do list.

As my son and I were running around getting things ready for his prom, I became aware of the fact that the haircut he wanted was not going to happen. We had 2 days to figure this out and I called Valentine after the salon had closed for the day. Valentine and his incredible team found a way to fit him in, give him more than the look he was after, and let him observe what a day in the life of style, grooming and mens fashion were about.

There are things that a mom cannot teach her son about personal grooming, finding your own style, and how to properly tie a tie. Valentine's did this all for him, and in return I hope you will visit them and let them help you define your style.

Great "Guy" Place. One of the few places that still offer a straight edge shave. I had to experience my first one and to say it was great would be an understatement. Roderick really knows the art of straight edge shaving and made my first time very relaxing. I will definately be back for another!!

The Best of the Best Men's Salon. Around 1993 I wandered into a small barber shop on twenty-fourth in the Ballard area of Seattle. As a man in my late 40?s I had reservations about getting my hair cut after walking inside the small shop. The clientele were young men/teenagers and the barber was not much older. There was graffiti art on all the walls and the music was loud and it appeared the party was on. But, as I sat and observed each customer explain specifics about how they wanted their hair cut and the barber took the time to listen and cut their hair to the customer specifications. When it was my turn to have my hair cut the young man whom I later come to know as Thaddius Valentine understood the value of doing a good job and providing great customer service. My haircut was perfect and I received numerous compliments from friends and coworkers. I returned many times over the next few years and referred friends who were extremely satisfied as well. I had always felt that the haircut I received at Valentine?s were the best cuts I had ever had in my life. I left feeling I was well groomed.

I moved away returning several years later to find that he had set up a very high quality men?s salon in the Greenwood area of Seattle. I was treated with the highest level of customer service the minute I walked through the door. I received a haircut, beard trim, shampoo and scalp massage. The treatment and personal attention of the staff made me realize that I had received the highest quality and service possible. I highly recommend that any man wanting to look his best visit this salon. He will not be disappointed.
