Do NOT go here. Prepare to sit for hours before being seen. If your appt. is at 3 dont be surprised if you do not get seen at 5pm and have to be rushed out without being properly seen. Dr. is rude and tactless to patients as well as her staff. I understand a Doctors need to take their time with each patient, but also good time management is also appreciated when all of us have busy lives. Horrible.
nothing but praise. Dr. Romanick takes the time to talk and explore a wide variety of avenues. Where some might just prescribe pills and leave it at that, she works with the patient to address possible lifestyle changes to improve quality of life and relieve symptoms. She seems genuinely concerned that I get the treatment that best fits me, instead of trying to make my symptoms fit a prepared treatment plan. This has resulted in addressing specific symptoms over time, which allows results to be more easily visible, but in the long run I am much better off and the combination of solutions has resulted in a big improvement. I heartily recommend her and her polite, supportive staff.
Excellent rheumatology specialist. Dr. Romanick and her staff take plenty of time to learn the patient's concerns, and they are persistent in their efforts to continue to improve health and well-being.
Dr. Romanick NOT recommended. Before I saw her, I got a letter from Dr. Romanick's office warning me not to be late and to call if I had to cancel, or else. In return I had to wait over an hour to see her. My questions were barely answered--when I asked her about a certain medication's side effects she told me she would not even consider that at the present time, not until her tests were completed--and I was given hundreds of dollars worth of tests to have done plus x rays and given what seemed like a scary potential diagnosis. She told me that it would take at least a couple of weeks to get the results and at that time she would let me know what to do. I waited but she never called me. Finally, after three weeks, I called her office and was told, with total unconcern, that they did not think they needed to contact me because the tests were normal. Respect works both ways. I was sitting at home, scared to death about this diagnosis, having been told specifically to wait. Well, after following her numerous rules and waiting for her and listening to her, I think she could have taken five minutes and called me with my test results. She never even followed through to help me get to the bottom of the problem! It was like she figured those tests were normal so she was done with it. It was off of her radar screen so forget me as a person. I had to end up going to another doctor, who found out what was wrong with me--and bingo! the problem was from the very side effects I had suspected! If she had bothered to listen to me, her patient, we might have gotten to the bottom of it collaboratively, working together, with much less cost to me, both financially as well as emotionally. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone unless they have a very specific rheumatalogical issue and do not mind long waiting room visits and respect which is all one-sided.
Great staff - Great doctor. The staff is very professional, but very polite. Before you go in for your first visit you are mailed a very thorough questionaire for you to fill out so that the doctor has a complete knowledge of your history. She is by far the best specialist I have seen. She takes plenty of time so that you understand the problem and she send reports to all your physicans so they are in the loop. Her staff is polite, coureous, and just plain nice. She is a credit to the medical profession.
