This is a disappointment..
Outside updated, interior lacking. Obivous that the non smoking room I was given had a smoker (who was smoking in it) recently. Desk clerk arugued with me when I asked to move (as the room I was assigned was listed as a nonsmoking room and could not smell smokey). They did offer to 'spray' the room. That odor is as offensive as the smoking,
Not a good experience. The desk clerk needs some customer service training.......empathy lacking. As are listening skills
A lodging staple for budget-minded road-trippers and business travelers..
In Short
Since the Ramada brand made its debut in 1954 in Flagstaff, Ariz., the hotel franchise has been offering dependable accommodations with budget-wise perks. Families appreciate the kids-stay-free policy for children 17 and under staying with their parents. Other amenities usually include a swimming pool, full-service restaurant, lounge, in-room data ports and voice mail. Group rates--for wedding parties, corporate groups or family reunions--are available for parties requiring 10 or more rooms per night.
The worst hotel in seattle to stay at period!. I had come off a 4 hour drive to the ramada that I had reserved online only to find out all they had were smoking rooms. I had reserved a nonsmoking, the clerk told me he could upgrade me to a less smokey suite and said I could get a discount by talking to the manager the next day. The suite I was in was in poor condition, but sleepable. I changed rooms in the morning. I talked to the manager in the morning and she said she could drop my rate down to 104.95, this made no sense to me since that was my original rate. She said since I had upgraded to a suite that my rate would've been 129.99 I talked to her at length about my dissatisfaction and would still only do the original rate. I had signed nothing to the effect that I would pay that rate, the desk clerk had totally lied to me. I was not looking for a free night, just a discount for my inconvenience. The next morning when I checked out I got my bill, and to my surprise I was charged 129.95 for thursday night. I went down to the front desk and told the clerk that the charge was incorrect and that the manager had changed it to 104.95. The clerk said she didn't know anything about it and that the manager was gone. I asked to speak to the GM, but of course she would not be in until 10am, my flight was at 9am. The manager basically lied to me about changing my rate I had to call into the Ramada customer service to complain and after a week my rate was changed back to 104.95. I had stayed in that hotel probably 8-9 times in two years, but after this incident I will never stay there again, I would rather paying more money for better service than I received at that hotel. On a scale of 1-10 I rate this hotel a -66, based on the room and the staff who was not truthful to me. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. I apologize about the length of this review as I have never written one before, but now thanks to that experience I will be sure to update everyone on bad hotels I stay it. Good luck!
