miss the store? shop online!.
Yes, my cute little store is closed. But closing my store allowed me more time to focus on making my handbags. You can shop online at crystalynkae(dot)com with Free Shipping to anywhere in the US.
Plus there are several boutiques in the Seattle Area that stock my bags including:
Queen Anne Dispatch (Undies & Outies)
Edie's Shoes on CapHill & W.Seattle
Show Pony in Fremont
Adorably whimsical art for decorating every part of life..
Combining studio and shop, this fabulous space is directed by the charming, exceptionally informative Crystalyn Brennan. Local crafty folks--some as local as across the street, while others are as far away as Bothell--contribute a pile of one-of-a-kind goodies, giving it the feel of the city's tiniest (and cutest) street fair. Shop kitty Corgan gilds this independent lily--look for him curled up under that eye-catching hand-knit scarf.
Everything is handmade, and while the "everything" changes frequently, it all charms. Girls who like dress-up will fall for the delicate bead jewelry, feathery knit scarves and fluffed-up vintage tops and skirts. If your couch could talk, it would beg for the fetching throw pillows and cuddly afghans. The journals and scrapbooks are particularly beautiful, while the line of cocktail-scented bath goodies are a hit with everyone who's ever had a cosmopolitan.
go by on your way to Greenlake!. Okay, so this place is in a random place - behind Aurora and Butch's guns, but also very, very close (like a block I think) from Green Lake - which now I park on 73rd, walk the lake, and then shop for like an hour in Fotos and frocks. The stuff is always changing and evidentally it's made by all kinds of one-of-a-kind fashions by Northwest designers. The owner is very friendly, which this town needs more NICE shopgirls, and I am realizing that I'm not the only one who knows about this place. Now when I find something I like - I buy it that second, because it's always sold when I come back. I just like that my money is actually supporting another creative artist- not some gross corporation. Enough venting. .. seriously check it out for yourself.
Hip shop in Green Lake?. The Green Lake neighborhood needed a hip boutique, so I was glad to see Fotos and Frocks move in. I love the jewelry and the bath products they sell there. I stock up for all my gift giving needs, and grab a couple extra bath bombs for myself!
Awesome Local and Handmade Stuff. Fotos and Frocks is fabulous!-- handmade quirky and fun clothing, jewelry, hair pins, cards, art, toiletries, hand woven scarves, lots of fun things, and all by LOCAL artists! Definately one of my favorites.
Saved by Fotos and Frocks. I discovered Fotos and Frocks while perusing the Pike Place Market for a birthday present for my sister. I'm terrible at shopping and even worse at coming up with creative ideas for presents. Not only did the sales rep from Fotos and Frocks have the perfect idea for my gift, but she even had it customized for my sister in less than a few days. It is tough to find the same vendor week after week at the Public Market, so I suggest visiting the Foto and Frocks main store near Green Lake. This store is a must stop for seattlites and tourists alike who are searching for personalized attention, great merchandise, and low prices.
Posh Spice would be proud!. Excellent quirky store with a great variety of gifts and personal items. And the store owner is always a hoot. I say check it out.
Support local businesses!. I adore this place. The shop cat Corgan tells the best jokes. It's rare that you find a shop that sells beautiful, functioal, hip, hadmade/homemade, pieces of art. This is a great place to go for a card, a gift (for yourself or others), or great art for your home. Plus it's all made by real people, local people, some things are made from salvaged materials as well. It's wonderful for me to find a shop that supports people doing what they love. I'm happy to support such a diverse place, it has something for everyone.
Very eclectic and nice mangement. One of my friends lives near this place (I was visiting from San Francisco), so we walked by on our way to the store and decided to take a peek. The owner was so helpful and nice, and the merchandise is very unique. I couldn't help but feel as if viewing the quintessential Seattle fasion/art scene wrapped into one store. If you ever get a chance, you should definately take a look!
Great place!. I love the feel of the store. It is very well-arranged and has lots of fun things to look at. I plan to go back very soon!
