Tips for Tap House Grill

Side order of Dandruff anyone?. Was in there the other day with my girlfriend. Service was very slow. The kitchen completely made our food wrong, not to mention that it was cold. We wandered around trying to find someone to get help from Finally, we saw who I understand is the owner. He comes over to the table. He seemed super arrogant and self-important (I don't know why , since this isn't exactly a good restaurant), but whatever. I just wanted my food fixed 'cause I was starving! But, when this guy bent to talk to me, I saw the worst case of dandruff I have ever seen all over the lapels of his expensive suit. Frankly, a person in a restaurant should have better hygiene than that. It was disgusting! My girl and I completely lost our appetites. What if that stuff blew into our food, for Pete's sake! We just wanted to go! Probably won't be back. If the owner looks like that, I shutter to imagine what the kitchen looks like.

great beer, worst food ever. I brought my girlfriend for a light dinner and some drinks. The dining room is not desighned for comfort or quiet the loadest place i have ever been. the beer flights were good and it is a good place for college kids to go and drink but the food could be matched by going to safeway and getting a can of alpo. i think the alpo would probably make you feel less sick.

Avoid eating here!. Three of us dined at Tap House grill on May 27th. My husband and I ordered from the "specials" list - chile rellenos and the house salad, while my son had a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was fine. The salad was basically none too fresh iceberg lettuce and some cucumber. The chile rellenos arrived and was lukewarm at best. After a bite, we told the waitress. She apologized and said it would be taken care of. A few minutes later, another server brought out the same rellenos (each missing a bite) after having been microwaved - barely any hotter. I question the food handling practices of the kitchen - the "special" rellenos were probably made up in advance and kept at an improper temperature. Buy the beer, skip the food.

This place is perfect. This place is cool. My Haberdasher, Jeff Collins, introduced me to it last year by taking me to lunch. They have great food and the staff is very friendly. I took my company there for a social gathering in their semi-private dining area and everyone loved it. They put on a really good buffet, took great care of us and I was amazed at the price. I'm looking forward to the Seattle location opening up soon so I can go to lunch there. I guess it's going to be at the old Planet Hollywood.

Awesome Beer Selection, Fabulous Happy Hour. I have been to this Tap House many, many times and have yet to be disappointed. I've eaten items from Lunch, Dinner & the Happy Hour Menus and can't find anything wrong. The bar staff has always been great to us whenever we have randomly shown up for happy hour with a LARGE group for birthdays or promotions and such. Very accomodating as well. In the restaurant I have had only professional service and great food. I love the wine selection as I'm not a avid beer fan, but they always have any kind of liquor I may prefer as well. All around I love this place. I love the vibe as well. There are always younger professional types such as myself meeting for drinks in the bar and having a great time!

fun place to try beers. the main reason to go to tap house is for the beer. its fun to try micros from breweries you've never heard of and to go with friends who like to share. have only tried happy hour food- it was good for what it was- but i dont think i would be coming here for a dinner- only the bar!

Horrible customer service. We went on a Wednesday night with a reservation for a group of 12. Our food came out of the kitchen haphazardly. Two people were served while the rest of us waited 10 minutes for the rest of the food to be served. One person's order was completely missed and had to be re-ordered by the waitstaff while the rest of us were served. When the missed meal finally arrived it was lukewarm. The only good thing about this place is the beer selection and the manager comped the missed meal. Do not go if you are looking for quality service...good for happy hour in the bar.

service can be slack!

Privately Owned Gem. Despite the recent explosion of corporate chain restaurants and bars that have invaded downtown Bellevue over the last few months, the Tap House remains one of the great hot spots on the East Side. In addition to 160 beers on tap (who else even comes close?) the food and decor here are excellent. Who said it's not kid-friendly? They have a kids menu! Is the service always perfect? Of course not, but neither is the service at any other place in town. Is it a little pricey? Compare it to it's local competitors and it's completely appropriate. If you're checking out these ratings because you've never been to the Tap House and you're considering doing so, take the plunge. The Tap House is oustanding, unique, and locally owned.

And did I mention.... 160 BEERS ON TAP?!?!?!!

Amazing range of beer choices, tasty menu options. The 160 brews offered by Tap House Grill could keep even the most selective beer lover happy for some time. You could go here once a week for a few years and try a new beer each time with no repeats.

Menu offerings range from seafood and pasta to tasty (almost comfort-food) chicken and similar dishes. It's difficult not to find something you'll like here; daily specials cover a wide range of tastes as well.

Service is generally excellent but can be indifferent sometimes, particulary at the outdoor tables. They're first come, first served, and the servers at those tables hold a certain grand apathy toward timely stopping by tables with new diners -- we waited 20 minutes one time, and only a request to speak with the manager finally brought a server to our table.
