Seattle >High Maintenance Skin Care
I got a simple manicure there a few days ago. It looks okay but it was almost double what i would normally pay for the same thing. Granted the nice smelling rose water to soak my fingers in was a nice touch, i just dont think it was worth the extra money. The ladies there were not exactly rude but thier smiles and friendliness seemed forced, not genuine.
I have heard nothing but good things about thier other services. I will go back to try a wax, but never again for a mani.
Great waxing! Nails, not so much..
The waxing here is great, no complaints about that!
However, I paid 140.00 (including tip) for a manicure and pedicure as a gift to a friend, and when she came to show it to me she was thankful for the gift, but told me next time to save my money and she would go to another place where she gets it done for 40.00. The pedicure was "choppy and uneven" and not what it should have been for that amount.
Lo mejor!. I live in Miami now and still go back to Seattle for my facials! I have tried more spas than I care to admit and have never found someone as professional, caring and fun as Naomi. . .every experience is different because she takes the time to evaluate my skin and do what is best for me. The whole experience is enjoyable from the moment you walk in and talk to Kristie to the relaxation while Naomi does her magic (and it's inevitable that I get so relaxed I take a little siesta while I'm there). I will continue to use this salon no matter where I live!
Best Brazilian Wax in Seattle!. High Maintenance is the best place to get a Brazilian wax! I have tried many other salons in Seattle but this place is the best! I have not tried the facials at High Maintenance yet but I am excited to give them a try! The people there are very professional and make you feel comfortable. This is the only place in Seattle to go for Brazilian's!
Awesome waxing. As with many others, I've been doing my waxing here for a while - I've tried more places than I care to remember for more sensitive waxing, and this place is tops hands down. The neighborhood is typical Capital Hill seedy and parking can be a touch tricky, but once you're inside, you'll love the ambience and the lack of pretension seen at other salons. They use hard wax, which is the ONLY way to go for sensitive skin. It's much more thorough the first time through than strip wax, less messy and with a great deal less irritation. I wouldn't go anywhere else, even though I live in Redmond.
Brazil without a passport.
I have suffered through some folks who thought they could take me to Brazil before. They mostly made me travel to Walgreens for Ibuprofen. Naomi is a godsend. She does the job with minimal pain, and she keeps me laughing so I hardly notice my momentary exposure. I will never go to anyone else. I've never tried any of the other ladies who work here, but they are all very friendly.
They also sell Jane Iredale mineral makeup which is just the best!
A comfortable vintage vibe at this feminine skin-care spot on Capitol Hill..
This urban spa is a girly retreat without being frilly--the soothing lavender walls and fresh flowers encourage a festive atmosphere of ladylike pampering, but the funky antique furniture and glass-bead chandeliers help keep the decor away from being precious. The facial treatments keep up the feminine theme, with names such as "The Tiara" and "The Crown Jewel." Services include a wide assortment of facials, waxing, makeup application, microdermabrasion, manicures and pedicures.
Best Brazillian. High Maintenance is the ultimate salon for a Brazillian. Very comfortable, private surroundings, nice, friendly staff, low lighting, lovely decor. You'll leave feeling quite "spiffy". Ask for Anna and tip her well. She really deserves it!
great price, fun conversation. the women running this place are a hoot, their services and products are wonderful. Mani's and pedi's are under priced but very professionally done.
What a joke!. I don't understand why there are so many good reviews. When I went there it was such a huge dissapointment. I had the worst manicure/pedicure of my life! My appointment time was at 5 pm and they closed at 7 pm but the manicurist clearly wanted to go home because she didn't even soak my fingers and pushed back my cuticles dry...that hurts! The polish was thrown on uneven nails (she didn't take the time to file them evenly!) with cuticles half pushed down. The polish looked terrible (smudged and even) and I was so irritated they sent me off that way. It was my birthday! So dissapointed. I went home and did them myself! I will never go here again. Head somewhere else!
