Bet you'd like it, too!.
Sushiya is one of best sushi restaurants in Northwest!
First, the price is even cheaper than any other sushi restaurants (that I tried) and I liked the food most! My favorite was the "Lion King". It rules... best creation ever!!! The service was great; the sushiman was so friendly and the interior was fantastic.! I bet you'd love it, too so you better go there if you're sushi lover!

Best and freshest sushi you'll find in Bellevue.
I have been going to Sushiya for a couple years now. I try to make it there at least twice a week. It is a cute little sushi restaurant with large windows and very friendly staff. The staff treats you like family. The fish is SUPER fresh, they even serve jumping shrimp, so fresh that they can show you its still moving. The portions are generous, they give you nice large slices of fish. If you're not into raw food, no worries they also have a menu full of cooked dishes. My boyfriend always get the chicken teriyaki there, he refuses to eat it anywhere else. There is nice quiet music playing in the background and a huge flat screen tv if you're into sports game or the news. They are very friendly and will gladly take any tv requests. There are many regulars that go there, the staff and management remember your name and know your regular order after just two to three visits. The restaurant is very clean and very nice for a evening out. You can choose to sit at the sushi bar or at the tables. They serve both lunch and dinner during the week, you'll see how popular it is during lunch, and with all the people in there you know it is good!!!

Enyoyable Evening.
Everything looks clean and new, lots of windows and sunlight, tastefully decorated. Quiet music playing in the background or watch TV, if that is what you are in to. The food was average, Japanese cuisine, but well presented, and cooked (or not) to the proper temperature. Some of the seasonings were more Korean, than Japanese but I didn't consider that a bad thing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My friends and I spent a very enjoyable evening there.

Poor quality food and bad management.
The tables are placed so close to each other that it feels as if you are sharing a large table with the people next to you. We ordered the sukiyaki dinner and sushi/sashimi dinner combination. I have never had such bad quality beef in a sukiyaki. The beef was very tough and cut in thick long pieces instead of the typical thin slices. The sashimi in the dinner combination were the thinnest pieces I have ever seen and laid on top of lettuce instead of the traditional shredded daikon. We were told at the end of our meal that we could not use our entertainment coupon since we got a combination even though the coupon said 15% off entire bill. I even tried complaining to the owner who said he thought the coupon wasn't clear, but this was their policy.
Overall, terrible food and ambience and unprofessional owner.
