Totally awesome food and fantastic service
by ReviewForYou21 at Citysearch
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Not only do they have phenomenal Thai food, but they also have a warm and pleasant decor and terrific customer service. As a relatively new but very frequent customer, the people there who have come to know me by name always warmly welcome me and ask me how I am. They even remember and know my favorite things to order and special ways I enjoy certain items being prepared. They have the best Pad See Eew on the Eastside, topped with amazing spring rolls, delicious and rich red curry, and wonderful homemade lemonade. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. They're laid back but still a very nice place to have a business lunch or a sweet dinner for two. They combine the best of both worlds--great service and great food!
Best one in Kirkland so far
by mavhayley at Citysearch
Since we moved to Kirkland, we've been trying to find a decent Thai place with no luck. We finally found one that fit the bill. It's good food (not great - for great Thai food go to Pen Thai in Bothell), moderately priced ($10-12 per plate) in a decent atmosphere. It's not Seattle-quality or Seattle-priced Thai food, but it'll work.
- Pros: Tasty food with flavor, easy parking, nice atmosphere
- Cons: A little pricey
Delicious food but easy on the spiciness
by cka04 at Citysearch
My family has been eating at this great Thai restaurant for over 20 years. It's been consistently good. Like another reviewer said, the flavors are distinctive from one dish to another (not always the case in other Thai restaurants), portions are good, service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Reading the handful of negative reviews, I can only guess those customers got unlucky because I've been going there for so long and I'm picky about Thai food being authentic. Nothing beats this place for me.
However they do go very easy on the heat, so if you love a lot of heat you should go for five stars.
- Pros: Flavorful, good portions
- Cons: If you like spicy Thai food, ask for 5 stars every time.
Really good Thai food for years
by DasCoug at Citysearch
I haven't been to Thai Kitchen for a little while so when I went back I didn't know how the food would be. It was very good and I seem to remember it being very good last year too. I need to go back more often. Good service too.
- Pros: Consistent, Tasty
Bland Food + No Heat

1. No heat!! You know, that would have been ok because these things happen. But they didn't even tell us when we walked in. I had to ask the server to turn up the heat and she told me that their furnace had broke that morning. With two small kids in two, it would have been nice to know before unbundeling them so we could go somewhere else. Or maybe that was their master plan to make us not leave.
2. They sat us way in the back. After we complained, they just happen to mention there were portable room heaters at another table. Hmm.. why didn't you seat us there in the first place??
3. We ordered the tempura. But what we got were vegetables with onion ring batter. This was NOT tempura. If I wanted onion rings, I would have gone to TGI Fridays.
4. I ordered something that was described in the menu as Tofu with basil and garlic (without spice). What I got were some steamed vegetables with barely flavorful tofu. "No spice" doesn't mean "No Flavor". I never did taste any garlic.
5. Lastly, they offerered us some free tea to warm us up. This was nice, but it was just warm water. There was barely a hint of tea flavor. But it did keep my hands warm holding the cup I guess.
All in all, it was a horrible experience. I left hungry and cold. I left a tip at the end because I always do, but now I regret it.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Didn't tell us that they had no heat in 30deg winter
