Editorial Review for Sahib – by Renae Martin
The Scene
This palatial restaurant, complete with chandeliers, crystal figurines and far too many tables, fills at lunchtime with chatting co-workers and shoppers lining up at the buffet. At dinner, attentive servers in turbans whisk around the large white room, carrying silver serving dishes and chai tea between oddly hushed diners. In the back, billowy white curtains close to conceal a full bar.
The Food
Nearly everything is excellent, including the slightly chewy, light-as-air naan that arrives piping hot from the oven. Use the naan, a flat bread, to soak up every last drop of the luscious, tikka masala, or the tender chicken in a creamy peanut sauce. Garlic prawns the size of silver dollars are skewered and cooked to perfection, and calamari arrives with a crisp coating of delectable spices. End with the cardamon crème brulee, a satisfying dessert with an exotic twist.

Please don't misunderstand. There was and is still a SAHIB restaurant in Edmonds. This was one of Mr. Sahib's creations and it was fantastic! I say WAS because when he sold it the new owner quite frankly ruined the place. Nothing was the same except the menu. I told the owner that she had ruined a great restaurant. Now, obviously, Mr. Sahib has opened another fine example of his work in Redmond Center. Now that I know that, and I know the kind of quality and hospitality he always puts into his work, I will be rushing over to Redmond for a delightfull meal. So be careful which store you are refering to. Mr. Sahib thank you for treating us one more time to your special quality in dining!! See you soon.

Last week we went to a see a movie in Redmond Town Center. Once we bought the tickets for a show starting in an hour we walked in to Sahib over looking the box office. As soon as we are in a smiling hostess showed us to our table. It looks like the carpet is recently changed and the furniture is nicely arranged. I am surprised to find crisp red cloth napkin (lot of mid size restaurants are getting away with paper napkins) with shiny silverware. We choose the buffet option and WOW… the items were fresh and I especially recommend the Chicken Biriyani and Fried Tofu. Don't get alarmed (like I did) if you don't find the "Naan" ( tandoori bread) in the buffet. I was about to ask the waiter who was bringing our drinks and saw he was also bringing fresh naans to the table. I had a chat with the owner and he mentioned they bought this place couple of months back and trained their chefs by bringing in a world renowned chef who also gave cooking classes for the general public at Sahib last month. Overall the experience was great with delicious food.
Pros: Delicious Food and Great Service
Cons: Bar area is undegoing renovation… new owner said "the place will bear a fresh look when it's complete".
