Tips for Hilton Seattle Seattle Hotels

Nice hotel with beautiful views. My husband and I stayed at the Seattle Hilton during the power outage last December. We were very pleased with this facility. Our room was comfortable, clean, and best of all, WARM. :) All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again and would recommend it to any Seattle visitors.

Could do better.... I would not recommend staying here on your stay in Seattle. It is below average for a Hilton property. The staff is decent, but the accomodations need a lot of work. If you're staying downtown, it's worth looking somewhere else if you want to enjoy you stay.

Pacific Rim business travelers feel right at home.. The Scene
The place is a favorite with conference and convention groups, since it's connected via an underground passage to the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. This property is designed for business travelers, including Pacific Rim executives who can count on hotel staff who speak Japanese and Chinese, along with Spanish. The rooms are decorated in pleasant but muted colors and offer the same features and amenities as Hiltons across the country.

The Details

Rooms offer lovely views, helped by the fact that guest rooms don't start until the 14th floor. The first nine floors are a parking garage--although you'll find a small desk inside the ground floor with someone available to help direct you--and floors 12 and 14 are the check-in area. (In deference to the superstitious, there's no 13th floor). Its top floor has three meeting rooms offering sweeping panoramas of the city, as well as the Top of the Hilton restaurant, featuring Pacific Northwest cuisine.

This is a Gem. Here in the very heart of seattle is a Hilton hotel that is really a botique hotel. Everything about this hotel tells you it is a small, intimate, service oriented hotel with every amenity that the huge hotels have. I think it is only about 250 rooms and feels both small and large at the same time.

The lobby is incredible. Whoever did this design was really smart. The small intimate restaruant at the Top is incredable. Not only is the view great, so is the food and service. Kudos for the management of this property! It's the details that make this particular property so wonderful, from the staff, to the design, to the food, to the clean fresh rooms. If Hilton did more of this, they would lead the world in the hotel business!

Terrible Service on Valentine's Day. Reserved exective room with city view for Feb 14. At 6pm check-in, informed that we were booked into another hotel, which has no view, few amenities, poor interior and is actually part of Virginia Mason hospital (complete w/ 24 hr amulance sirens). Hilton room was $200, new room worth $106 (compliments of Hilton). Other hotels (Hyatt & Westin) had room available, but for $300+.

How can a hotel overbook when they know how many rooms they have and all reservations are guaranteed for payment by the guests.

The Hilton has my phone # on file and didn't bother to call in advance. Bottom line: Poor customer service. I recommend you stay elsewhere.

For a Hilton it's nothing special. The Seattle Hilton is a convenient, if mediocre lodging choice in downtown Seattle as I discovered during a recent tw-night stay. Overnight guest parking is obscenely expensive. The hotel has only one overpriced restaurant (the "Top of the Hilton"). Hotel staff are indifferent and/or terribly inexperienced. Hi-speed (DSL) internet is frustratingly difficult to use. Rooms are small, and allow far too much interior and street noise. A far nicer Hilton property is located across from the Sea-Tac airport. I don't plan to return for another stay at the downtown Hilton.

Hilton reputation precedes it.... We chose this hotel for the Hilton reputation (I've always had great accommodations at Hiltons) and its proximity to the Seattle Art Museum. We were not disappointed--this is a classy place, without being exorbitantly expensive. We had a nice dinner at The Top of the Hilton, small, romantic restaurant with an adjoining small bar. I also noticed a very nice lounge near the lobby as we signed in. Guests are directed from the parking lot to the lobby on the 12th floor, all guest rooms are above that level, thus the good views
