What started as a single grocery store in Idaho in 1915 now has more than 1,775 locations. The retail giant encompasses some of the biggest chains throughout the country, including Vons, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Genuardi's and Carrs. Each store offers limitless name-brand products and produce that range from dairy, meats and baked goods to personal care items, pet supplies and cookware. Depending on the location, customers can also enjoy convenient in-store pharmacies, coffee shops and restaurants.

Thank goodness for the new Safeway opening next year!. This Safeway is very outdated. Bad lighting, just everything is bad. I hear that the new safeway being built one block south will be a flagship, and I can't wait. The prices here are generally cheaper then the downtown QFC, but we never shop here because it's so crappy. Also I should mention that the men's bathroom seat was broken...what a pit!
