BUT IT SHOULD BE CLOSED!!! THE OWNER ALONE IS THE PROBLEM. HE DOESN'T RESPECT HIS STAFF, CUSTOMERS, OR HIMSELF. CLOSE YOUR DOORS AND PUT THIS PLACE TO REST. PLEEEASE.

The reviews were really mixed, but we went anyways. Wait service was very nice. But the guy (owner?) was just a little too much of an annoyance. Speaking of annoyed. We all got a double-side, single sheet, PAPER menu that had been on quite a few tables before ours. No wine list. No web site. On the plus side, salads were fresh. Food was mostly good. Although when we got the left-over pizza home, and in the daylight, there were a number of stray "hairs" of uniform length and color. Most likely a pastry brush going bald. Overall, can't say I'd do it again.

Unbelieve everything. If you live anywhere near this place its a must go. The food is outstanding. There is not a southend place that offers portion sizes, quality or the feel of a place like this. Do yourself a favor and try it. BTW Irae Pagofie performs there a couple times a month and is a huge added bonus. The staff makes you feel like they have known you for years. My husband and i will be back for sure.

Best Authentic Homemade Italian Dishes Around!. Our Family discovered this cute little Italian place a few months back when passing through town. The service was super, but the food, omgosh ,some of the tastiest food we've EVER eaten! We couldn't stop eating off each others dishes! Flavors so savoury we make sure we make a detour off the highway to visit here when we're coming throught the Seattle/Tacoma area.

Even the chef, he made our dining experience exceptional by recommending a great wine, and then personally stopped by our table to see if we were loving our food (this is a regular practice of his, as we have now eaten here multiple times!)

But it even got better when a couple of weeks ago my husband and I stopped in and there was live entertainment!...This guy was amazing! He complimented everything else that was already going on in this tiny spot in Auburn Washington...We even got up and danced! .. and then, some of the others that were also dining there got up and dance too! It was so much Fun! Great atmosphere and Great Food! Definately a memorable time.

And I also want to include this... that after our first couple of visits, we looked on-line to get the address to send to a friend, and we discovered some real negativity that some have written concerning this place..and well, that's not our experience! We love this place and we'll keep coming back everytime we're in town..

Best Italian Outside Seattle!. I don't understand the negative reviews on this restaurant?! Sure its not a brand new place but to call it dirty is a huge overstatement. Simply put, if you're looking for great Italian food this place cannot be beat! Jack, the owner was very helpful in recommending a good wine for a dinner and the staff was very attentive and helpful. We were told of specials of the day, all of which seemed very different and unique. My wife had the Cod and was in absolute heaven. If you went here a while ago and had a bad experience, I recommend you give it another shot because the food was phenomenal and the service matched!

Dirty, in every sense of the word. Owner was standing directly in front of entrance, smoking and repeatedly setting his glass of beer on the sidewalk. We thought he was a homeless guy and walked around him to enter the restaurant.

We had a gift certificate in hand, purchased just yesterday. The owner saw it, intercepted us, demanding to know when we bought it.

"Yesterday."

"I'm not accepting gift certificates anymore. Call them and get your money back."

"Excuse me? It's a purchased gift certificate, not a coupon from the newspaper. It's a legally binding contract."

"If you'll spend at least $50 I'll honor the $25 gift certificate."

"How 'bout you just refund our money?"

"I'm not going to take money out of my cash register and give it to you."

We looked inside the restaurant, completely unimpressed by the rather dirty-looking tables and boring decor, and decided to take a pass on his "offer."

What a dirt bag. And now we have a useless gift certificate for which I'm sure he's collected his share.

Great Italian cuisine with attentive service. Visited this Auburn landmark this past weekend had the 20 oz NY steak and it was superb, my wife had the scallops and was in heaven. Service was attentive, bar area was lively ( 9pm we were there). Definite gem !
