A nice trial day – Our dog is very shy and is intimidated by bigger sized dog. But we need to board her for one week so it is so nice Metro Dog offers a free trial day. The staff members are very professional. They are like-dog trainers and know our dog even better than us. Our dog did very well during the trial day. She must have played hard during her stay and she was tired out when we got her home. We feel comfortable to leave her with them next time.
My puppy ran away from me & tried to sneak in to Metro Dog – When my 9 month old puppy really really wants something he flops on the floor and rolls over and over. This is how he was found one morning by the staff outside their front door. He loves Metro Dog and he really really wanted to be let in to play!
I work a few blocks from Metro Dog and that morning was not planning on day-caring the puppy. As I entered my work building I was surprised that he was suddenly nowhere to be seen. This was a huge surprise as he has separation anxiety and had never left my side in the month since I had adopted him from the shelter. Worried & not knowing where else to look I walked up the street to Metro Dog. One of the employees was just leaving the building to look for me knowing that I was somewhere nearby. She was relieved to see me & laughingly told me that the puppy was indeed at Metro Dog & had been begging to be let in.
All the folks who work at Metro Dog are so kind & fun & seem to be talented at working with the dogs. My puppy is shy with people but has a happy spaz-fit whenever he sees any of the employees. They all seem to know him & his antics well & I'm happy to see him like them so much & also follow their commands when they tell him to do something.
My puppy is small (about 13 pounds) but loves to play with any size dog. Usually he is just in the mix and playing with any of the dogs there, but every now and then he's in a smaller play group of only small dogs (which is so cute!). When I take him to the park or dog parks he is a social pro so I know that he's learning great skills at Metro Dog.
When I pick him up he is always sleepy & happy. I always enjoy hearing stories from the staff about how the day went. One by one I'm learning the names of other dogs there as they point out his best pals. One day I was chatting with an employee as I picked him up. There must have been 20 dogs around her - but they were all sitting or laying down calmly. As she was telling me about the day, a large dog walked over to sit and lean on her leg & she absent-mindedly picked up the dog's ear & was rubbing it as she talked. Nobody moved for the several minutes I was there (especially the dog getting the ear rub).
I'm so glad to have found Metro Dog. I think it's a wonderful place where dogs can have time together but also have positive human attention. It's such a great place for dogs and people too! I highly recommend it!
Great place to leave your Dog in the City! – Great place to leave my Dog. I have a Dachsund and he is very shy. He is not mean, but just not the most outgoing with people and other dogs. They are so great here at making him feel welcome. I feel so comfortable leaving him here. They are the best!!!! I actually had one of the staffers recognized him in the Greenlake area and he was really excited to see her. Makes me feel great!
Lola loves it! – I purchased a monthly package and have been So Happy with Metro Dog. I've been taking my dog twice a week and have been 100% satisfied.
When I went in to buy the package - I had a coupon. However, the woman working told me there was a better one out there. We found that one, and I was told I can use my initial coupon next time. Great!
Upon arriving at MD my dog is excited and ready to get in and play. When I arrive to pick her up, she is always excited to see me, however she is spent! Tired Tired Puppy. Great!
Everytime we go - the employees know my dog. They greet her, make her sit before entering the play area. They even noticed when she got a new collar. If it happens to be someone I've never met before the person introduces himself and treats Lola like they are old friends. Great!
I will say, our first time going I was apprehensive looking at the outside appearance of the building. However - the outside is Totally Deceiving! This is one of those "Dives" from the outside that is the best place you've ever been on the inside. Do It!
I will reiterate, I've been nothing but fully happy with MD and will continue bringing my dog here. The employees are professional, curteous, dog people, attentive, and smart with the dogs. Lola and I both leave with smiles on our faces. Thank You MetroDog.
Happiest Day of his week – Captain sits up and looks excitedly out the window as we drive up. He loves spending a day at Metro Dog. Great caring people who love dogs.
Doggone Good Time – My young dog loves this place! He plays real hard and the staff makes sure that he doesn't overexert himself. Although he only shows up twice a week, they know his name as I walk him in the door. He comes home tired and happy.
We boarded him for 4 days while we went away on a long weekend. The staff kept us up to date on how he was doing during his stay.
I recommend this place as a great doggie daycare for your pup.
Home Away from Home – Our dog is 5 years old and has been going to Metro Dog daycare two days/wk since he was a puppy. I am happy to say that we have had nothing but the BEST experience since day one.
The people at Metro Dog truly are his second family and have been wonderful partners in helping to raise him. :) Their love, care, and genuine concern for his well-being and happiness shine through in every interaction with both him and "the people" in our family.
He absolutely LOVES Metro Dog and is super excited to arrive on his days. We have also boarded him here on many occasions and for varying lengths of time (up to 8 days). Each time he comes home from "his trip" clean, happy and easily adjusts back to our normal routine. We feel very fortunate to have Metro Dog on our team!
Cheers Bar for Dogs! – My guy, Max, has been a regular at Metro Dog for almost 8 years. The loving care from the terrific and attentive staff is amazing...jeez maybe he can drop ME off for the day and he can go to work instead! Good boy Max!
My Dog has a great time – My dog thinks she is at camp when she visits, especially overnight. I like the notes they take about her stay and her interactions with the other "campers." She has been going for four years now. Convenient hours.
Love Metro Dog – We were referred to Metro Dog by friends and have not been disappointed. They are very professional - the facility is clean and our mini Dachshund loves it. We have only used them for daycare so far, but will be leaving our dog there for a week in March. I feel totally secure that he will be well cared for!
