Affordable fashion and great service without an attitude

I just bought a beautiful cashmere sweater at Christi's for around $150. It's gorgeous and the price was what I would I expect to pay. I would have paid around the same price if I bought a J. Crew sweater, but instead I found a slightly different design with cableknit on the sleeves and the neck that I havent' seen anywhere else. That's why I love shopping at boutiques like Christi's - you can find unique pieces for your wardrobe instead of the usual Gap/Banana Republic stuff that everyone else owns. (Don't get me wrong - I shop at Gap too and I love their sales.)

But sometimes, you want to have a different experience and not feel like one of the shopping herd at the mall.

They have both refined high-end clothes (like a killer Diane Von Furstenburg black cocktail dress) along with funky, more affordable casual clothes - a nice mix. I disagree with the other reviewers who give it low ratings saying it's pretentious and over-priced. You can find a gorgeous dress here for under $200. That's far from overpriced. And the service was wonderful. I haven't met Christi yet, but the store manager has a wealth of knowledge about fashion and pulled pieces for me that I loved. She knows her stuff. I am not a dripping-with-diamonds kind of woman -- I'm a mom with a limited clothing budget, but a love of fashion. If you want to shop somewhere where you are treated like a valued client - definitely check out Christi's. And, by the way, you should never follow the advice of someone who spells ludicrous: "ludacrist"...this is not the type of customer they are catering to.

Nice Sales

I found the service in this shop ideal...no pushy sales person. The woman working, and I think owner, or at least co-owner was personable...not arrogant as previous reviewers wrote, and they had a rocking sale. Yes, you spend more $$here, but you won't look like you shop at Old Navy either. It is a nice Boutique, clearly not for everyone, but not just appointed with older mature woman's clothes...they had some smoking hot stuff as well as conservative stuff to choose from. So, for those uninterested in looking like they shop exclusively at the Mall, come by and pay this shop a visit. Probably will need to stop in periodically to see new kit and sales. Small and low inventory.

Another Melrose Place Wanna BE!

What is wrong with this street!?> Main is starting to get full of pretentious merchants! A non-designer white shirt made in Bangladesh for almost $200??? Unheard of! I can understand if it was made in ITALY, but BANGLADESH!???? Not even a hi when I walked in!? I think because they will not pay attention to you if you are in your sweats and has 2 big dogs. Thank goodness for the chocolate store next doo!
