WOW! What a great experience!!!. I wouldn't change a THING about my wedding dress experience at Brides by Demetrios!! Everything from my first shopping appointment to my final fitting has been perfect. The sales staff was not pushy at all. They even stayed back and let my mom help me try on the dresses so it was much more personal. I have had 4 follow-up appointments since and each one was memorable, with plenty of space to brings family & friends and also plenty of time to take pictures. The alterations staff (Jenny, in particular) was fabulous!! She knows all the tips & tricks to tailor your dress so it is flawless. She added beadwork to my dress by hand and it left me speechless when I saw it!! What a wonderful boutique!…

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, EXTORTIONIST POLICIES. If I could give this salon 0 STARS I would! DO NOT BUY YOUR DRESS HERE!!!!! Last year I went into Brides by Demetrios to look for a wedding dress. The salesgirl I worked with was pushy and kept trying to hard sell me into gowns that were WAY OVER my budget and were just the tackiest things I had ever seen. Eventually, I did find a gown I was fond of so I put a $300 deposit on it. However, my wedding ended up changing in major ways and because of that the dress was no longer appropriate.

I called the salon to ask them if I could use my deposit toward different merchandise that I needed - like a veil or other accessories. I was told I needed to talk with the store manager (GEORGIA) however she was never available to talk when I called. I finally got her on the phone after trying to reach her for weeks (she NEVER returned any of my messages). She told me that Demetrios has a policy of not allowing you to use your deposit towards ANYTHING besides a wedding dress. Then after speaking with her longer she said that maybe I could use it towards bridesmaid dresses. Unfortunately, my bridesmaids live very, very far away and would not be able to take advantage of a store in Washington for fittings or to see the gowns in person.

I simply can't believe that any retailer (whether wedding related or not) would just TAKE YOUR MONEY and not let you use it towards any other merchandise in the store. The manager (whose name is GEORGIA) kept telling me the contract did not allow for refunds. Now if I could understand her not wanting to REFUND my money but telling me that my choices were to buy a second wedding gown I didn't need or give up my entire deposit is insane. I wasn't asking her for a refund but just the ability to use the money towards merchandise I actually needed. Then she acted offended that I said Demetrios had taken my money from me for nothing... as if I was lying. I'm sorry lady - when you take money and don't give goods of equal value in return you are actually stealing money from people.

Having worked for many years in customer service in the past I know that there is nothing worse than having business practices that harm your customers. Word of mouth can be a very damaging thing for a business. Clearly Demetrios doesn't care about their reputation. If they did they wouldn't have a 1.5 rating on yelp.

I think at the core of it - I would understand if the dress had actually been ordered and they had made an investment that they would loose money on if they let me apply the deposit to something else. However, no dress was EVER ordered. They simply pocketed the $300 I gave them and then tried to extort me with their corrupt policy. Disgusting.…

Demetrios not so great!. I have been to 4 other bridal shops on the Eastside. I decided to make an apt at Demetrios because I noticed a few dresses I liked online where from there. I thought it was going to be like a Davids Bridal. Davids Bridal has a reputation for being like a target vs a nordstrom in the fashion world. The atmosphere at Demetrios is really nice, like a showroom, with stages and sofas and really nice dresses. The salewoman are all dressed in black.

Please note there are no cameras allowed, so you may not take pics and go home to look at them. They said people will replicate the dresses by having them made elsewhere, so NO PICS! That started to set the tone. I like to research my dress, try it on, take pics, go home and look at it with my friends, see how it photographs, and compare to all the other dresses Ive tried on...so I found a dress, gorgeous! It feels like it's 'the one." BUT, It is out of my price range by a few hundred dollars. The saleswoman comes back holding a piece of paper like Im making a deal at a car dealership. She says she can give me 20 % off if I pay right now or 15% off if I pay 1/2 now. I have literally been in the store for 55 min, and she is telling me I must decide now. My apt. was at 5pm and it was 5:55pm. Closing time is 6pm. She looks at here flyer and says to me "only TODAY!" Other co-workers chime in and tell me I'm cutting it close anyways and if I don't decide soon, Ill have to pay a $300 rush fee. She then asks if me hesitating is worth $300. She tells me she can tell that this is the one! I turned away and said sorry I need to think about it. Yeah, I need to think about if I want to spend days in alterations dealing with these people more then once! Apparently, it takes 10 months to order your custom made dress from Demetrios??!! BTW, after they make my dress, it goes into alterations for a few more hundred dollars, and maybe another one after that? So this reputable bridal shop cannot get it right the first time?? I don't know, the more I go to these wedding website boards, it seems that its not us being Bridezillas, its the vendors scamming, especially the bridal shops! David's Bridal was actually pleasant and sweet compared to the saleswoman peddling dresses like there selling a used car. I will go elsewhere, maybe back to Olga at La Belle Rev in Bellevue. She is a gem!…

Great dresses, Horrible Service. The dress selection at Demetrios is amazing but their service was awful. I had already purchased my wedding dress elsewhere and had a great experience so I know how well this experience can go. I went to Demetrios based on recommendations about their great selection of bridesmaid dresses. The woman helping us was rude and worthless. Luckily I had enough friends their to help each other get dressed and pick out options, while she sat around doing nothing.

I had decided to cover all 6 dress deposits myself to simplify payment at the end, to help get the order moving, and too make sure everything looked alright before paying in full since the length, color, and straps couldn't be viewed in person or even online. They went ahead and asked all my girls to pay their remaining balance when they went in to get fitted. All they cared about was getting their money despite the agreement we had made and they put all my bridesmaids in a very uncomfortable position. Their behavior from start to finish was completely unprofessional.…
