WON'T BE BACK.
I took my children to Applebees thinking it would be a good family restaurant. Not so! The food was mediocre to poor. The service was terrible and the food was cold. Well some of the meals were hot and some were warm and some were cold. I think a restaurant should be able to handle alarge family order and get all the food out together and have it all hot. The meat was tough and they didn't even offer the kids a balloon. Never offered a refill on kids drinks had to ask for everything and remind the waiter a few times aswell.

Big portions of mainstream American fare, served up in a convivial, family atmosphere..
In Short
A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.

Greazy!.
I'm pretty confused as to how this restaurant made it into the 'best of' category, so I can only hope that it's an average value influenced by many small-town revues which are skewed because there's no place else to go. But in the Seattle area, there are PLENTY of better places to go. We refer to Applebee's as 'a little slice of Cleveland' here in Bellevue, and that's NOT a compliment! The food is mediocre, the atmosphere leaves much to be desired, and it's always filled with screaming parents screaming at their screaming children. Don't fall into the 'now, why don't we eat there?' trap and go to Applebee's again.
