I've been reading this site for awhile and have been visiting Dr. Ormsby at Kirkland Dermatology for five years. After Dr. Likosky was on maternity leave, I was automatically transferred to Ormsby, and she was not too helpful. For treatment of my acne, she kept on suggesting treatments that I had already been prescribed by Likosky that didn't work. Not only was the quality of the doctor-patient relationship very minimal (no small talk, not too friendly) but it appeared that there was no conversation between the doctors themselves to confer about my treatment regimen. There's usually a long wait (15 minutes or so, plus trying to find parking at Evergreen) and then another 5 minute or so wait once inside the treatment room. This usually didn't bother me, until I just had to speak with the front desk staff about refilling a prescription after making an appointment. After I was immediately put on hold for a couple minutes, the receptionist was downright rude, blaming the pharmacy for everything and not trying to understand my situation and work with me. She sounded exasperated and as if she had much better things to do than talk to me. I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully as a patient before. Needless to say, I just canceled my appointment and five-year relationship with Kirkland Dermatology after their inattention to respect, understanding, and quality of patient care. While the bottom line is quality of medicine (which is decent), Dr. Ormsby is nothing special and I would much rather be treated kindly and quickly at another clinic.

Pros: consistent

Cons: front desk staff!

I have to agree with the previous review, their front desk help can be terrible and certainly inconsistant. They have one lady that sets up appointments when you're leaving, and she's nice enough. But the girl at the front desk reminds me of a hostess at a high end restaurant whom you just interupted on a personal call :). Which really stinks, since thats the first person you see when you walk through the door. Now, Dr. Ashworth is just incredible. I weather her inconsistant front desk staff just to see her for my dermatology concerns. She's not only informative but will offer you many options. At the end of the day, you go there for great health care, not warm fuzzies from the receptionist :). Just rest assured that the receptionist will be dipping fries soon enough as they seem to go through receptionists every 6 months/year.

Pros: Dr. Ashworth, Surgery Experience

Cons: receptionists, wait for an appointment can be months
