Derek's Issaquah Transformed My Car
by gloc at Citysearch
We purchased two Groupons and then kind of forgot about them. Got a notice that they would expire soon so we made a call to the Issaquah facility and they scheduled both cars right away, even though it was during the week of Christmas and New Years. We had seen some recent reviews on this site so we were somewhat reluctant to take the cars in, but boy, are we glad we did!! Both cars came back looking brand-spankin' new, inside AND out. I had forgotten to ask them to clean the inside of a compartment in the tailgate area where something was spilled (but unnoticable unless you opened up the compartment). I was pleasantly surprised when I got back home to find that they had done a very good job cleaning out that tough area. So the good news is, Derek's transformed my dull, grimy, 7-year old, mom-mobile into a sparkly, flashy SUV. The bad news is, now my hubby's convinced we should keep it even longer (haha). I will recommend Derek's Issaquah to coworkers and friends. Thanks for a thorough cleaning job!!! Double thumbs up.
Terrible and expensive service

What a terrible service! They don't even know how to open a glove box compartment.
If you want to see managers shouting at employees, services that you ordered not executed, but being charged, then this is the place to go.
Seriously. I regret seeing their advertisement on groupon. They charge an exorbitant price for such a poor job. I got my car hand washed at Pro-Club for less than 40 bucks and they did a much better service.
Want a chance for MOLD? Then come here!

This place is HORRIBLE! Read all the reviews before coming here and come at your OWN RISK!
I got a deal off livingsocial and decided to give it a try. The detail was advertised to last 1.5 hours. I dropped my car off at 3 PM and didn't get it back to 6 PM. When I did get it back, the seats were all wet and they gave me a sheet of paper to sit on to drive home. Got home, opened the trunk to find all my mats inside DRIPPING WET!! In addition some textbooks inside (worth $100 each) were water damaged from the mats.
I called the place back immediately, and took it back in. They essentially acknowledged the fact that they did a shitty job, took it back to dry, and made me wait another 45 minutes before anything was done. Yes, it was not dripping wet anymore, but 2 days later, and my car is STILL wet, and now in addition to a poor job done, I have to worry about MOLD and my health due to it.
They also don't care for your property. I found my pair of prescription sunglasses in one of the compartments speckled with the fluids they used to clean the car.
I REPEAT. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! DO NOT COME HERE OR YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!
I certainly didn't expect THIS!

I've always detailed my own car, yet when Groupon came out with a $200 credit at Derek's, I was giddy in thinking of the 4 or 5 hours I would save by having someone else take care of the nitty gritty.
I have a Lexus GX470 SUV, kids and dogs. Those of you who can relate, know how grungy the inside and outside can become. Yuck!
The detail: MAIN areas clean, well done. Edges, corners, crevices (on the seats for the seat belt buckles, for example) not good. My car has a musty odor from the shampooing...it's been a week of trying to air it out and that hasn't worked. You know it's bad when the kids get into the car and complain, even after sweaty soccer workouts.
What I didn't expect: WHOEVER DETAILED THE INSIDE OF MY CAR TOOK THE ITEMS I FORGOT TO REMOVE FROM THE INSIDE OF MY DOOR CUBBIES AND PLACED THEM ON THE ROOF OF MY CAR. They did not put them back. GOODBYE, BLACK LEATHER COACH CD HOLDER FULL OF CD'S. GOODBYE GARAGE DOOR OPENER. GOODBYE 3RD ROW LEXUS REMOTE.
I discovered this upon entering the freeway after leaving Derek's. To my horror, these items clattered on my roof, then flew off the back of my car onto I90 (Thank God they did not hit any other cars and cause additional damage), and *poof*, just like that, valuable items were run over, smashed and ruined. And I couldn't do anything about it!
In all, I lost money. Even with the Groupon. More importantly, others' safety were compromised. I called Derek's immediately upon returning home, spoke with the same person who checked my car in and out, and received the following: "Oh gee, those guys! I'll go talk to them.".
It has been one week since the detail was completed and still, no response from Derek's. To say I'm not returning is an understatement. Irresponsible, sloppy, uncaring and unprofessional is my description of Derek's Auto Detail. They blew it big time.
Highly recommended

I purchased a Groupon so I knew the location would be very busy and didn't have high expectations on the level of service. They did a great job on my car. To my delight when I went to pick up my car, there on the seat of my car was something valuable that I thought I had lost six months before. The item was both valuable and sentimental, and it goes to show you how honest they are. In my mind there is no better recommendation than that. I hope sharing that with you helps you to decide to try Derek's.
