The Scene – This cheery joint goes one step further than most barbecue places--it looks like an actual decorator has offered some advice. Bright yellow walls, colorful murals and long communal tables are pleasing without detracting from the real reason everyone's here: The meat. – – The Food – Come hungry--even small plates come with an array of sides and fresh, sweet corn muffins. The sauce here is decidedly on the sweet, vinegary side. Ribs fall right off the bone, and the baked chicken, slathered with mild, sweet sauce, defines the word "succulent." Kids and…
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- The distance is easily walkable for visitors to the Seattle Center. Wannabe pedestrians can ditch their car in one of the large lots on 5th Avenue.

After wandering around in the area looking for this restaurant, we stopped in a nearby hotel and asked where we could find it. They said it was no longer there! Don't know when it closed but there was absolutely no sign of it. So we walked a couple blocks up to a Thai restaurant recommended by the hotel clerk and enjoyed a different flavor than we anticipated.

I loved this place and eat here often the apple crisp is to die for made fresh every day. I love the mac and cheese the have a juke box and a room with pool dowstairs. I love to go there for games because they have a screen that is 16' wide
- Pros: good food
- Cons: they get really busy and sometimes you have to stand up or not get a table

Expensive. Had better chicken and ribs at my local grocery store for far less money. Peppery washed out taste.
- Pros: Very expensive food very cheap ambience.
- Cons: parking, opens just a few hours a day strange place unconfortable seating.
Overpriced, tasteless and awkward

I agree they make you pay before you get the food because you wouldn't want to pay after trying it.
Very expensive and ugly place. You wouldn't want to sit there and eat. I imagine this is how the king county jail lunch room looks like. You wouldn't want to take the food and eat it elsewhere because the food is no good. Very expensive on top of it.
You can have a great meal at a nice restaurant for far less money. Save and eat well, eat somewhere else.
- Pros: none
- Cons: expensive, bad food
Horrible food - weird place

My boyfriend and I read lots of great reviews of this place and headed over to satisfy a BBQ craving. The first thing to know is that you'll have to pay when you place your order - their clientele has a tendency to run out on the check! We ordered a sampler of all the "goodies" - ribs, chicken and catfish + two sides - Mac salad and greens. The ribs were okay but nothing special. The chicken was horrible - dry and almost inedible. The catfish had a great crispy outside but no taste at all! I wasn't really even sure there was any fish in there. The sides were bland - the runniest mac salad I've ever seen (do they pour milk over it or something?) and the greens were just that, greens. No ham hocks or any other descernable flavor that makes greens so good. In all, it was a completely wasted trip and we will never return. Don't waste your time, money or tastebuds with this one!
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: Bad food, Weird patrons
