Awesome place. This recently remodeled pub is FANTASTIC! Friendly people, good food, tasty strong drinks, and a pleasant atmosphere!

Horrible bar staff. Within one minute of waiting for a friend outside of the deplorable bathrooms, I was harrased TWICE by the same waiter. The first time, he yelled at me and my group and friends to "hurry up and finish our drinks." Upon noticing that we weren't drinking anything, he replied: "Oh, nevermind...why aren't you guys drinking anything anyways?" Holding in our frustration and anger, he came back for a second time - this time he decided to yell at us about moving the pieces on a game table outside of the bathroom (something to the effect of, "that was unnecessary, why are you doing that?"). After telling him how incredibly rude he was and that we never were coming back to the bar, he had no reply - in fact he just stared back at us (cleary dead behind the eyes). Dunne isn't so clever after all.

In summary: if you want to be harrased all night by moody insecure bar staff, by all means go to Clever Dunne's...there stocked full of them.

Great Beer, Friendly, Wow! newly remodeled bathrooms!!. I visit Clever Dunnes pretty regularly since it is just down the road! I love going there because the staff is so friendly to everyone who enters! The prices are outstanding and the music is great! The only thing that has put me off in the past has been the bathrooms there. Probably the worst on the hill. I was there yesterday and I could'nt believe my eyes! They have remodeled the bahrooms and they are much nicer. They even put new flooring in. Needless to say. I wo'nt be going home anymore for potty breaks!

Good pinta Guinness, lousy bar staff. They pour a good Guinness, but the bar staff is rude, and slow. And there's way too many overdrunk dipsh*ts in the place most of the time. I'm all for having a good time, but this place has an abundance of "I remember when I had my first beer" types.

If you're 23 and looking for a place to yell for no particular reason, maybe this is the place for you. Not me.

Great Selection of Beer. This bar has one of the best selections of beer in town. I don't know what everyone else is talking about food, because they don't serve it. No menus, and the bartender said they stopped. Which sucked, because I was looking forward to some great food. Definitely gets packed, and the bands they book are really good.

Great pub, lousy DJs. I can't say enough good stuf about this pub, but the DJs on Saturday night are god-awful. If they want to have DJs, then by all means, have DJs - chill, smooth, GOOD DJs. Not kids with too much money for records and not nearly enough talent. I'm sure they're nice people, but if I wanted to hear train-wreck after train-wreck I'd hop an Amtrak and try my luck. Try another night and you're sure to like it, though.

Make friends, Drink great beer!. If your looking for a place to hang your hat and call home on any particular evening, this is it! Great pints, fun music on Sunday nights, excellent bar staff, fun people, friendly crowd... and Trivia Night Tuesday is always a good time! Great value for your buck and a cool place to meet and greet! Love it!

The greatest Irish Pub in Seattle!. Clever Dunnes is one of the most social and fun bars on Capital Hill! You almost want to be Irish when you leave! The bartenders are always wonderful and the food and drinks are great. The atmosphere is most of all open and airy, great to relax and meet up with people.
