It is heart wrenching to watch your child be in pain, so I was elated and relieved when Dr. Kohler of The Vital Enery Center on Capital Hill in Seattle was able to help my daughter go from a 9 out of 10 pain to a 6 out of 10 pain in just 1 visit!!

Here is the story of why I sought care for my daughter.

She was in severe pain, had lost all use of her left shoulder and there was no accident or injury which started this problem.

We went to her pediatric doctor and an orthopedic specialist. Several xrays were taken which were "inclonclusive" and based on her symptoms she was diagnosed with nerve impingment syndrome.

The doctors did not know why this happened, yet recommended a treatment plan of physical therapy, with follow-up visits every two weeks to determine if an MRI may be needed. As I am uninsured, this treatment plan became a huge financial burden.

I decided I would speak with Dr. Kohler about all this and he recommended I bring her in to see him for an evaluation and possible treatment. The doctor requested her xrays from her orthopedic visit so he would not have to take extra's if not needed! Dr. Kohler not only saved my daughter from the dibilitating pain she was in, he also saved me hundereds to thousands of dollars!

The first day Dr. Kohler evaluated my daughter she had no use of her left shoulder at all with 9 out of 10 pain. He extensivly evaluated her using various Applied Kinesiology, Range of Motion, Neurological and Orthopedic assessments. He concluded the best course of action for her that day was a gentle, non-invasive adjustment to her lower cervical vertebrae (C5)and had her rest on an ice roll for her neck.

After having spent the past 5 days with no improvment or change to her condition I was not expecting much. Yet after only that 1 gentle adjustment she now reported only 6 out of 10 pain! She still could not move her arm, but she was feeling better!

The doctor recommended that she come back to see him the in next day or two. I am so grateful to myself for heeding his suggestion! When I brought her in the 2nd time, he had recieved and reviewed the xrays from the previous doctors office and had determined my daughter had forward head posture with loss of her cervical curve and her first vertebrae was out of alignment. He gave her a specialized percise, gentle, non-ivasive adjustment to her first cervical vertebrae and this time had her rest on a cervical pillow, and then an ice roll for her neck.

Guess what!? She could now feel her arm again! Not only that, she was able to begin to lift it and her pain was even less now!

I am ecstatic to tell you that it has been 1 week with 3 visits and my daughter can now FULLY move her arm IN ALL directions and now only has a 2 out of 10 pain ONLY WHEN she stretches it too far!

We will continue on our treatment plan with Dr. Kohler, work on our homecare routine to restore the curve to her neck and educate as many people as possible in the amazing talents and treatments of Jared Kohler, DC!

I was walking around with back pain and having a hard time breathing for two weeks before I gave up on my own methods of resolving my pain. I went to Dr. Jared for an adjustment to find that I had a hiatal hernia and my back was out. One adjustment later, I was pain free and able to take a full breath. Five months later, my back was hurting from being big and pregnant, and I got another adjustment, along with a temporary arch support, and found myself able to work again without pain. This chiropractic facility is quite fantastic! Not only is Dr. Kohler a very down to earth and precise doctor, he also explains peoples' ailments quite well and gives a great deal of information so that the client is able to understand exactly what is wrong and how they will be feeling better in no time. He explains his procedures so you are not surprised, as well as focuses on the client understanding the working of nerves, muscles, ligaments etc. He does not pretend to care, he actually does. Excellent service, as I have been seen by him and the outcome has been quite remarkable! My ballet neck has created some issues for me, but his work has enabled a more openness to the malleability of my neck. Very successful treatment!

I have been a patient of Dr Kohler for three years and I recommend him to friends, family and my own clients.

He is not your average chiropractor. He is very thorough and explains every detail of your treatment plan without ever being pushy. He has many different techniques that are gentle and effective and he has a keen intuitive sense as to which ones are right for the person on the table.

Once or twice a year I have neck pain that threatens to keep me from doing my job. Every time Dr Kohler is able to stop the pain, keep me working and I always leave in better shape than before.

The Vital Energy Center is a great place to receive care. It is a relaxed and comfortable environment with a great healing energy.
