worst gym EVER
by jackieyoshi
i should have known when i joined that it was a bad idea. the were very vague on their policy and charged us first and last month even when the girl at the front told us we were just paying the first. second, to reiterate what chris said. when you try to leave, they screw you over. the owner is an ass and you get the run around. literally. its been over 4 days since they charged my account and the owner hasn't called me back because apparently the girls at the front can't handle customer issues. they have to forward it to the owner. note: the owner works best by email. he can't answer the phone but he sure can email. give it right back him, he's a jerk and is just charging people for an extra month even when you provide your 30 day notice because he's a cheap ass trying to get as much money as possible. too bad everyone i know left them for LA FITNESS in ballard. talk about trainers that know what they are talking about instead of rain trainers that count reps for you! and free pilates classes. screw rain. join LA Fitness. also, for those of you who are like chris at i that are jumping through hoops to get out of our membership, just have your bank put a stop on Rain Fitness so they can't charge you any longer. Someone should put this guy out of business. It's ridiclous. either that or take a year long lesson in customer service.
- Pros: nice view. the end.
- Cons: horrible service. bad trainers. owner is an ass.
good, straightforward gym
by bearsfanjeff
Great gym, straightforward. Nice staff and good spin instructors. Free weights and general weight areas solid, as well as new cardio equipment.
I just tried this High Altitude trainer, oh my God, this is crazy challenging. I thought I pushed myself until I tried using this thing. I am hooked on it now, as I am a cyclist and climber.
Please provide us with towels. Overall very enjoyable.
- Pros: clean facilities, front desk staff, equipment, convenience
- Cons: towels, weekend hours
Good while you're there but just wait till you try to leave.

Pros:
- Clean facility
- Friendly staff and patrons
- Straightforward membership signup process
Cons:
- 30 written notice prior to termination actually means up to 60 days prior because they conveniently omit an explanation that it takes an extra 30 days to stop auto payment.
- The manager is deceptive in handling paperwork and isn't forthright in answering questions when you end your membership.
- Pros: Clean facility, some staff are friendly.
- Cons: Shady practices when you end your membership
