My dog died due to mistreatment
by lmiked31 at Citysearch
After a week long vacation, I was surprised to find my dog with a massive infected head wound upon pickup at the downtown dog lounge. The staff was adamant that the injury didn't occur while in their care, however he didn't have it when I dropped him off. Due to infection of the deep wound, my dog had to be put down shortly thereafter.
- Pros: none
- Cons: killed my dog
Terrible place for your pet!
by lorene13 at Citysearch
After working for a short time as a groomer @ the Elliot st. location, I was simply shocked and appalled at the lack of training the (grooming) staff had of how to groom or even properly bathe a dog. Dogs were left unsupervised on tables and in bathtubs where they could easily choke themselves by stepping off the table, Dogs falling off the table is REGULAR OCCURRENCE.
Dogs were forgotten about in kennels w/out water, sometimes for hours, due to inability of the person at the front desk to properly check in a client.
Dogs are allowed to wander freely around the salon, where they would pester and stress out other dogs on being groomed on the tables and regularly knock tools such as clippers and scissors down onto themselves, risking serious injury or worse.
ANIMALS WHERE NEVER TAKEN OUTSIDE, pens are cleaned with RAW UNDILUTED BLEACH
General staff is very poorly trained with generally no experience or education of proper animal handling
**DDL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN**
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: Money comes first - NOT safety or health of pets
like it sharing it
