The Scene
Located across from Benaroya Hall and downstairs from Wild Ginger, this high-end jazz venue draws a distinctly well-heeled crowd. After work, Triple Door is a movers-and-shakers spot for appetizers and delicious cocktails, although there's surprisingly little snobbery amid the suits and schmoozing. Appreciative crowds gather later on for musical performances in the beautifully renovated, 1920s-era vaudeville theater.
The Draw
In the theater, expect intimate and comfortable seating, personable dining service, and a world-class sound system. The upstairs bar--called the "Musicquarium" because of the giant fish tank at the entrance--is an inviting place to meet friends or scope out well-groomed singles in their mid-30s to 50s. Order a bottle of wine, a few Asian-fusion treats from the menu, and the stage is set for a great evening.

Insider Tips
Save MoneyAll live shows are piped--with crystal clarity--into the bar. Although there's occasionally a cover for the bar, most nights, it's free.
The ExtrasThe absolute highlight of the theater: four, lush private suites with perfect sight lines to the stage.
On the MenuThe Asian-inspired menu comes from Wild Ginger. Food can be ordered in the Musicquarium or before shows on the mainstage.
What to DrinkTry a drink from the long list of specialty cocktails, like the Perfect Zen, made with Grey Goose vodka, sake and muddled cucumber.
Happy HourThe Musicquarium offers one of the best happy hours downtown, with $3 drinks and $3-$5 appetizers (daily 4pm-6pm; Sun-Thu 10pm-12am).

The venue itself is nice but food is terrible. My shrimp tasted like rubber band. I paid $16 for my rubber band dinner. If anyone wants to go their to enjoy shows, I would suggest to get dinner somewhere else and order drinks there. Drinks are OK and did not taste like rubber band.

A hidden gem in downtown Seattle, The Triple Door's trivia night on Mondays is always great times and a great deal on top of that! It starts at 10:30PM, winners get money off their tabs (no buy in either!) and its industry night, 33% off. The always entertaining Paul Jensen of the Dudley Manlove Quartet is one of the hosts.
Pros: Reasonably Priced Drinks, Pop Cultured themed Trivia, Rowdy Good Times
